- All alone in Prague at Christmas was a decision I made due to not wanting to spend Christmas home alone. Prague in the Czech Republic is a beautiful place to visit and I hope I capture the Christmas spirit as I walk around Prague Old Town.

Prague looks beautiful, if I've learnt something in my 63 years is if you can't say anything nice , then say nothing, never judge a book by it's cover and always try to be kind I've always taught my kids because you never know when you may need a helping hand, and most importantly it's good to talk but even better to listen and asking for help costs nothing neither does giving it .Have a wonderful time when you're with the family and Happy New Year to everyone who follows you.

What a lovely little pressie from the kids, Prague is stunning, only been once ….. it was the other half’s 40th birthday 🎂 present 🎁 and that was 20 years ago. It still looks amazing, we want to get back there so will make an effort soon. The Wenceslas Square old buildings and little clock puppets are brilliant to see, and the castle etc on the other side of Charles Bridge just stunning 🤩 So much to see Darren…….I hope you had a great time and merry Christmas and a very happy New Year to you 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
About the chimney cakes: they originated in Hungary and from there became popular in Slovakia (town of Skalica), because long time ago Slovaks lived under Hungarian rule (at that time Czechia was part of Holy Roman Empire). After WWI Slovaks and Czechs united (Czechoslovakia) so the Trdelnik became Czech as well. And after 1993 Czechs and Slovaks separated, so now it’s just Cechia with their old Trdelnik in Prague.😃 BTW I love how you express your feelings and observations, this video put a smile on my face. Prague is absolutely breathtaking, one can see several architectural styles sometimes even on one square or street. Very well preserved and the atmosphere is so welcoming and relaxed. There’s always tons things to do on any day. Love Prague❤️👍

Love the natural hair .. first time went to Prague was 44 krona to pound.. .. last time there was January just before COVID started kicking off .. . The clock was being refurbished.. BUT am sure before that the little people used to come out and go round .. anyway . Last comment.. ALL those beautiful buildings.. still got an Irish bar in the Old Town Square .. have a lovely time .. was so nice to look back at the good times had there ...😊 😊😊

Certainly is a beautiful city ,I spent Christmas last Christmas in Vienna it was spectacular facing the shawnbauun Palace ankle deep in snow with my grandson took my mind off being alone at Christmas after loosing my wife during the lockdown ,but every day gets a little easier and makes you reflect on life have a merry Christmas and a happy new year

Darren just as you approach Charles Bridge I tripped on the curve and fell flat on my face. Thankfully the alcohol I had earlier saved me from hurting myself.

A beautiful city, I have not been there for a long time but the architecture is amazing and remember the town clock. Thanks for the tour. I have travelled a lot on my own for work and it can be lonely but am thinking of travelling alone for pleasure in 2024.happy new year!

Thank you so much Darren. I loved Prague, when we went the clock was being refurbished so I was very happy to see it. The buildings are fantastic on every road there is something to see. Your visit bought me many happy memories. Have you been to the black theatre? Charles Bridge and the wonderful Castle town. I could go on so much to see!

Hi Darren we waited and waited for the astronomical clock to strike the hour... can't see the attraction also went up into the clock tower again not great.. but Prague is beautiful and make sure you have a beer out there its their thing

I loved this vlog. My. Husband worked in cz about 17 years ago and quite regularly we were able to go over to Prague for many weekends. He worked about a 2 hour drive from Prague so we were able to visit a lot. It is a wonderful city. With so much to do and so many things to see. It was a city of music. In the summer it was great to see the swing jazz street bands setting up around the old town centre, soft rock bands, the community festivals and fetes, and the beautiful classical musicians in little pockets of the town centre buildings. Ballet, opera and classical music events all within walking distance of each other in the town centre. It is a very cultured city and not too far from Vienna either. It was very hot during many of the summers we were there, but the winter in the snow was magical. And not as cold as you would imagine. Here in Scotland when the snow and the cold is here it can be zero degrees and it’s like the arctic and difficult to keep warm - in cz you can wrap up well at minus 10 degrees and you will be warm, despite there being inches of snow. We visited the Charles bridge when there was 6” of snow and it was tolerable. Your vlog took me along many places we visited a lot so thank you for posting that, it was lovely to have a little walk down memory lane 😊

A lovely city. Just think London could look like that if it hadn’t been turned into a theme park.
Prague is lovely but much, much smaller than London…Prague only has a population of 1.3million compared to London with 9.6 million. London is a major world class working city whereas Prague is more of a tourist destination.

Certainly looks amazing having visited Budapest it reminds me very much of there, the streets looks pretty clean too and although there was some graffiti not as much as in a lot of European cities , thanks for the walk round its certainly now on my 'to visit list' in 2024.
