2012_05_12 Auto Rotations

Saturday I was able to get out for some auto rotation practice.
This time I was mostly practicing turns, also experimenting a bit with speed and range.
They're not too pretty, I abandoned a few and rolled on throttle early.
I need a lot of practice, but it's great fun practicing.

The video is real time. When you're coming down time seems to go quickly, I actually make a point of looking out the side for a few seconds and not get fixated on the landing spot, this seems to help me slow things down in my mind.
I only have experience in a Schweizer and the XE, but the XE seems very forgiving, especially at the bottom.

That high - did it toke alot of time to come down? I was talking with Snider - he has rolled his down lower than spec's during auto-r -- and it still held. The XE is an excellent helicopter all around. Best on the market!
