@@Tomthormeyer I’m from South Texas. I’m also an avid shooter we shoot 100-200 yards benchrest, we used to have a 500 meter range, until the local commissioners shut it down, so we’re always looking for a new range to shoot @ for a day or a match. I’m from Laredo, Tx
The hunting gun is the original mag that came with the rifle. 6.5 CM Bergara B-14hmr. I added a spacer that set the shell forward. Works great. The Alamo rifle is a metal mag. Ears are bent up and is single fed.
It started out life as a Bergara B14-hmr 6.5 CM. But as luck would have it the thing wouldn’t shoot a group smaller than 1.5” at 100. So I found a bartlien light varmint barrel. 1-7.5 tw. 26” long. Had it spun up. Added a trigger tech special trigger. Cool paint job and it’s been a tack driver ever since. It’ll shoot consistent .200 groups or less. Berger 105 VLD hunting jammed .008. Varget powder and alpha brass. I’ve actually won a 300 yard match at graham tx with it.
6mm with a proper expanding bullet is just about perfect for whitetails and roedeer. Nice video👍
I just found your Channel, just saw you on Erik Cortina channel….
