LOVE blueberry jam!!! I still have a few jars I made last year but THIS is my kind of canning, quick and easy! You have no idea how excited I get when I see you have a new video up 😄 makes my day!
That looks delicious! Im going to have to try this one ❤ perfect for the 3 of us! Really didn't mind ur arm being "in the way" would rather you be yourself and comfortable rather then burning that delicious jelly!
I like all the videos because if you have a garden there has to be kitchen stuff too! My hubby also only eats strawberry jam lol. I will have to make some blueberry for myself now. Our heat came rushing back today and after the brief reprieve it seems worse. I am so ready for fall and am planning my fall seeds and have started one tray already ( we don’t get a hard frost until January). Thanks for the lovely jam idea ❤
Thank you Maryin 💜 I was picking beans just before supper in this brutal heat thinking in my head…can it be fall already!! But for us, after fall comes a long winter to I quickly got that thought right out of my head 😂 Perhaps you’ve mentioned it already but where do you live because a January frost sounds awesome 😉
Good morning sweet friend! Thank you for this wonderful easy recipe! I try to avoid jams and jellies becasue of my diabetes, but I can make some for everyone else. 😊 I'm so sorry to hear that about your eyes. Praying they will heal very quickly and that you can get some much needed rest. We are also having very hot humid days this week. The heat index for today and tomorrow is 108-109. My poor hubby is always out in it and even inside the shop it's so hot. Please say a prayer for him to be okay during this awful weather. He does stay hydrated and out of direct sun, but humidity can is everywhere. And please, you & Frank take extra care when you have to be outside. Could your eyes be sunburned? I ask becasue when we have snow here (which is not very often) but everyone wants to be outside in it. It's a fun thing for us. I remember two different times that my eyes got sunburned from the glare of the snow. It was so painful. It healed in a few days but not something I ever want to happen again. It can happen at the beach or at lakes too. I guess anytime you are out in the bright sun without eye protection, you are at risk. I definitely learned my lesson. Enjoy the rest of your week! Blessings! 💙💙💙
Good morning 💜 Oh..I feel horrible for S. That is extreme temps to be exposed to all day and is draining and exhausting on its own without having to be working in it. I will definitely send prayers for him 🙏 I know I should probably wear sunglasses because I am outside so much but I honestly don’t like wearing them ☹️ I’ve never heard of sunburnt eyelids but can imagine it not being very pleasant at all! The glare from the sun/snow is a real thing..it makes for winter driving difficult at times. Please take care of yourself and S. through this heat spell. I’ll be thinking and praying for you both 💜
@@JustTheTwoOfUsHomestead Thank you sweet friend! Praying for you & Frank as well. I hope you are feeling a bit better today. Heat index is 109-110 today. The actual temp is supposed to be 96 today. So far we have only had a couple of 100 degree days. The past few years we have had highs up to 105, buth thankfully only a handful of days like that. None so far tihs year and I pray we don't especially if it's as humid as it has been. I shudder to think of how high the heat indexes would be for days like that. I don't like to wear sunglasses either, but I make myself. And when it snows, I make sure we are all wearing them. I hope you both have a wonderful, happy day! 💙💙💙
Yes! I usually do it with strawberry and it’s so good. If anything it comes out even more “refreshing “ You can do it in this tiny batch or I did a video with a bit bigger of a batch 😋💜
Hello, I came across your channel and love small-batch cooking. I was just wondering if this jam can be frozen and used for later use, like Easter, Christmas time, etc., that is, if you can use the jam for making pies. I am fairly new to preserving homegrown food. I own a water bath canner then upgraded to a water bath steamer, I do use both when I have a zillion amount of tomatoes to process lol, my next goal is to get a pressure canner, the idea of having a lot of different soups all ready-made for the winter months and also having canned meats ready to go for pies, stews, etc gets me so excited lol and wished I had started preserving earlier on in life, but hey better late than never with all the preservatives that go into foods today. Regarding your health problems with your eyes have you ever thought of using Castor oil, I watch Barbara O'Neal on UA-cam she talks about the benefits of caster oil among other foods that our bodies need for health.I have just subscribed to your channel and look forward to your recipes.
Hi Julie, welcome to our homestead💜I honestly don’t know the answer about the jam but my gut would say no. There are freezer jam recipes that would be more appropriate. I love having soups and jar meals on the pantry shelf too!! We have long cold winters and soup is the perfect 😍 We only started homesteading later in life and didn’t can much before that but I’m making up for it now 😉

Thank you Carmen 💜💜 Quick and easy and no compromising on flavour. I actually think it tastes better than pectin jam (the strawberry one too) 😋
I love this! Thank you for sharing
Thank you Dawn 💜

Thank you! 💜 I felt my arm was obtrusive and annoying but grateful you didn’t seem to mind 🙂 Hope you enjoy the jam!

@Stinson.Homestead We are at 104 with the humidex today 🥵😩 (I’m happy at about 70 degrees) I guess it’s a kitchen day today 😉
This is a wonderful idea/ recipe! Does it work for other fruits as well?
Thank you 💜 I have made it with strawberries as well. As long as it is in the “berry” family it should work 😀
Came out nice and thick , did you say you tried this with other fruits. My husband going to love this one 👧🏻

It looks yummie! Don't you hate it when you have to lick the spoon? 😂
It’s the hardest job in the kitchen 😂😂
Thank you 💜
I hear the change
Sorry Belinda, I don’t understand 🤷🏻♀️
