M3 taxi is €90 per seat for a lap. That is amazing value for money and having gone for a lap in that car last year - it is worth every single cent. Can't wait to come back in 2019.
You got to appreciate Robert and Misha for being so transparent with the financial side to Apex. I doubt we would see this from any of the other taxi companies.
The lap price for the M3 taxi is worth every single euro. The finest, grippiest BMW I've every been in. I'll take my first ever Apex taxi lap experience with me to my grave :-)
Wow, just amazing to think of the costs involved and the costs not declared for the early and current modifications. As ever, blown away by your honesty and integrity to the car development and design.
I think what you and the other taxi companies are doing is awesome. As a car enthusiast it makes me happy. Some of us will never be able to afford most of these cars(danish taxes ftw). So just the fact that we have the opportunity is great. I only wish I could find the time to visit you guys. Keep doing what you're doing Robert, Misha and Co.
The pricing is totally justified imo. One can clearly see that the passion is real. Don't even want to know what the Mclaren is costing you guys after seeing this. Total respect to you guys for providing such an amazing service. Here's to more 👊
I really understand you wanting to highlight the car running cost but 'relax', the package's you offer in the cars you have is 'massive', please please do not feel quilty, you offer great experience at great prices.
I'm going to be honest with you, the first time I visited your website and saw the prices I was thinking to myself "wow, these guys must be millionaires", but now after this thorough explanation and owning a car myself I do understand that the costs are even higher than what you said, so now I'm like "why tf don't they charge more?". Great work guys, I really appreciate you
It's good to do this kind of video because people really are clueless when it comes to costings and how much it is to actually run a car(s) like this while maintaining a profitable business. Great content!
That's absolutely crazy, you've got a whole industry around 1 car effectively 😅👍 Definitely booking when I get over this year! Great, informative vid chaps🙈👍
Great video, love the openness of Robert. Thanks for sharing. It costs way more than I thought to run a taxi program. Hope to see you guys later this year.
Well another interesting subjects that you guys generating . Also you two made into our Australian magazine EVO , our Editor mentioned the subject off the Bugatti lap times , a real surprise to me . Do to the fact that it was not your average subject in my neck off the woods. Whilst i am writing this listen to your cost factors off your business cost. Thank you for your opinions. Keep up the good work.
Recently stayed at the Apex nurburg hotel for a few nights and got a sneek peak of the maintenance operation and definitely blown away by the staff. The in house mechanic was always working on something and was very proud of the quality of work they do to maintain their fleet.
Amazing, i love what the pair of you are doing with Apex, I feel privileged to have been on the ride from the start. I hope to be able to come meet you both, the team and the Nurburgring at some point in life.
Thanks for the interesting breakdown of how this taxi proposition breaks down. It speaks well to the rationale that a halo type product can run a positive net return aside from the more personally motivated investment. I presume you get your higher margins from the more bread and butter products like the Up, Polo, GT86, instructor laps etc. I would be interested to know how you both see the business from a longer term point of view. Clearly you have invested a lot in building it. Is this all from profits aside from start up capital? Or is this something you do just for the passion for now? What are the limits on the potential growth and how will you keep the Apex family feeling to it?
Ugh do some people really have the "argument" that someone who can afford 200+ eur for a lap could afford owning a car like that? How are the two even remotely similar? A one time 200 eur exepense vs the whole upkeep of it every day all year around... jheez.
Some people are genuinely stupid. I had a dude ask me once why I play racing games when I could just rent a Formula 1 car for a day. I am not kidding, I wish I was. He was 100% serious. That wasn't even the dumbest thing that dude said on a day to day basis.
I can't even afford to come there and do it, but from a practicality standpoint I've always seen it as extremely cheap. I've always been grateful that you guys take such huge risks with such a small profit to gain so more ppl can have this once in a lifetime experience. I do plan on coming there one day, but it's not anytime in my near future. XD
I can definitely confirm these costs. Driving my own 911 on track really wears tires, brakes etc which have Porsche prices. In addition comes services and when something now and then becomes destroyed. And since it is my own car, I drive it to conserve wear as much as possible. No drifting that shreds rear tires at a cost of 600- 800 Euro for a set.
I drove with my own car... scary. But nice for the bucket list. Did a M3 taxi lap a year later...it was great, way way better than driving your own car. Next time i for sure will pick something even more exotic/faster. Experiences like that are unique and can not be had in any other way. If you are a petrol head (with a job) it's a no brainer. Do it!
Going for a taxi lap in the M3 may have broken my bank account (even though it was shared) but I just couldn't resist and I'm glad I did it. It was extremely fun!
If and when my project car is completedI will definitely take it to the Nurburgring and pay myself an Apex Taxi lap. It is an appreciation decision and a good investment in my own understanding of the Ring. Thanks for this video Misha and thanks for the link.
What a great video. !! I know the £/lap in my Golf and people have no idea how much it costs when they jump in for a lap. Fair play for putting the actual numbers out there. Hopefully it`ll make some people understand why the Taxi`s may look expensive per lap but when you take everything into consideration, they aren`t at all. Whilst you only have a relatively small % `return on investment`, as you clearly explain you do all obviously get paid so whilst ROI is small, several people get a wage out of these cars too.
Excellent vid thanks! This should be required viewing for school kids maths classes (especially boys, who usually hate maths!) actually i’ve met business people who don’t know fixed from variable costs or gross from net profit!
I can say that it's 100% worth it. Even more so if you split it with friends for the M3, it becomes a straight up bargain. Also that blue balling at the end was brutal.
Great video, you get a much better understanding of the running cost of a Nurburgring-taxi. The video quality and the quality of the photos that Tom is taking is just superb! Which is his primary camera, that he's using to take these awesome shots?
Great detail from Robert, I like his accountant look at running costs but please talk slightly slower (pause for breath) as it's hard to process and comprehend at times. Big thumbs up!
I did this last week in the m3 Anyone thinking this is expensive is naive Clearly these cars will go through tyres and brakes exceptionally fast!!!!!! The work involved in the original modifications most cost stupid money!!! Now the lap Imho forgetting the justification of costs it's worth EVERY PENNY!!! me and a friend split a lap in the m3 135 euros each What a bargain for such an experience Never would I have thought a car could go so well and grip so hard Seriously savage!!!! Id happily pay 299 alone to passenger the 720s and I'd happily do a taxi run every ring trip Just awesome!!!!!!! 99% of car enthusiasts should understand this
Very interesting video ! I had the chance to lap the Ring in this M3 last year and can't wait to test the new mods ! Congrats to to the team for making Apex such a good companie and wish you all the best for the 2019 season.
In my experience when anyone says they think something costs too much they have no clue what it is to run any type of business. The number one cost for anything is the labor associated with the product. You do not pay for the food when you go out to eat, you pay for the peoples time to prepare it (from distribution all the way to the table) when you purchase a house you are paying for the peoples time that built it for you. It is astonishing to me that the vast majority of people do not seem to grasp this. I for one will be booking something for multiple vehicles for the my first trip out and can guarantee I will not say a single thing about the cost.
Pretty impresive numbers, Could you make a video about the reliability of the cars in this tough usage (Robert spoke about sensors and injectors on the BMW) ?
Cheap at the price if you ask me. Best rollercoaster in the world with a top driver at the wheel, whats not to like.. Its either worth it to you or its not, was to me. All the best guys✌
You can see Robert really knows his stuff when it comes down to business. I also think it is important to make a breakdown of all the costs involved, to justify the price. All people think about is the fuel, cost of the car, driver and a bit of tyres. Other than that the things that need to get done "at scale" of multiple laps really pumps up the price. Props to you guys for actually doing this!
Cost of the service sold is not explained or calculated as explained in this video. Hire a mechanic or team of mechanics put them on shifts then your labor cost is flat. Unless you hire them per brake pad. Why you try so hard to explain us the real cost of your business. I would love to see you explain more tech talk like your average lap time per taxi run. Difference between fresh pad and old pad lap time. You guys are sharing your hobby with us charging reasonable price. Fair enough!
Book your Taxi lap here, it's more affordable than driving your own car! app.acuityscheduling.com/catalog.php?owner=16796085&category=Apex+Taxi

This is a great rundown of the costs. Quality isn't cheap, folks. You get what you pay for
Great respect to you Guys for being so open about how you are running the company. Not many companies do this!
Love how open and honest yous are!! Will hopefully be visiting the ring for first time in a few months, thinking of booking your guys hotel!
The lap price for the M3 taxi is worth every single euro. The finest, grippiest BMW I've every been in. I'll take my first ever Apex taxi lap experience with me to my grave :-)
Thanks for opening up about the business expenses! It is great that you are sharing all your inside knowledge and being increasingly transparent.
Excellent video and very informative! The F80 looks sick just sitting there stripped on the E88's!!! Love it
Conclusion: you should be charging rugby players more 🤣
Wow, just amazing to think of the costs involved and the costs not declared for the early and current modifications. As ever, blown away by your honesty and integrity to the car development and design.

Why are there no foodshot costs involved in the calculation of costs
Crazy! I Like the Apex Open Policy!
Great work guys, I really appreciate you
Great start to the video, you get thrown into it without it being in your face. Nice work!
Such a cool video. People always complain about service prices...I need to point them at this video. Well done.
It's good to do this kind of video because people really are clueless when it comes to costings and how much it is to actually run a car(s) like this while maintaining a profitable business. Great content!
I love these kind of videos coming out! Thank you!
That's absolutely crazy, you've got a whole industry around 1 car effectively 😅👍
Definitely booking when I get over this year!
Great, informative vid chaps🙈👍
Great video, love the openness of Robert. Thanks for sharing. It costs way more than I thought to run a taxi program. Hope to see you guys later this year.
Great video i love how you discuss these things openly, you guys have come a long way in the business and sure will take it further! All the best!

Well Said!! I totally agree with you! It would be cool to meet both Mish and Robert and of course the Apex Team :) One day.....
Respect Gast! Echt, om te zien hoe jullie zijn begonnen en waar jullie nu staan is gewoon fantastisch!
All power to Robert to come up with accurate cost factors in all areas of the Beemer M3. Let’s hope it all come out top for everyone at Apex.
Never thought of it this way.. glad you made this video
This is a very informative and very transparent video, good analysis and feed back. Thank you for the information you guys rock!

Warranty work, yeah I think you broke the warranty void seal on the car :P

Yep, see screenshot...

i like this format this make a huge step up in the quality of the videos
I love those Videos. Maybe people get a more realistic approach on some stuff afterwards. Very good information also for people doing trackdays.
Really like these video's. Very informative. After this i'm honestly surprised that the prices are indeed not higher than the are now!
This was really interesting. Thanks for sharing the numbers, it's really rare people are willing to do so for their unique business.
very interesting! Thanks a lot for this

Love your new boots, Misha. *Future videos, have background music less loud. The music becomes distracting while listening to Robert. imo...
Going for a taxi lap in the M3 may have broken my bank account (even though it was shared) but I just couldn't resist and I'm glad I did it. It was extremely fun!
Great explanation. Problem isnt cost, they are logical,... but is it worth as a customer. Actually the problem of any expensive passion
You forgot cleaning cost, for poshing and showing off you need the car clean!
I loved seeing the bare shell of this F80, thanks.
Great video.Myself and 2 friends have booked a taxi lap in this car for the 30th May.Looking forward to it.
Fascinating stuff, Robert really knows his numbers👍😀
Love the videos, keep it up and looking forward to a great year for Apex 👍
What a great info about the costs! Thanks misha and Robert
Great video man, brilliant insight.
One day I will experience the green hell. Much respect for the open video guys 👍
Hello Misha, Hello Carmrades. Nice explanations... thanks.
Insurance 5k per car seems like a great deal for you.
Excellent content.
If and when my project car is completedI will definitely take it to the Nurburgring and pay myself an Apex Taxi lap. It is an appreciation decision and a good investment in my own understanding of the Ring. Thanks for this video Misha and thanks for the link.
Was taken out for a lap in your M3 last year. Seems strange seeing it all taken apart like that lol. Fantastic car!
One of your best videos yet, this is going straight to the news (autoevolution)
Thanks, tomorrow's video will shock you more :)
Good afternoon Misha and Robert
What a great video. !!

Pinderwagen yes everyone gets paid from the taxi income except for me.... lol :-)
Another great great vlog Guys 👍
Lets play drinking game! Every time Robert say ok take shot!😂
Excellent explanation

what a risk for in best case 10% contribution margin. This Must be passion at least to do this for the people❣️
Mooie inkijk en uitleg, bedankt daar voor.
Cool to get an inside on how Apex operates and how much comes along with operating Nürburgring taxis!
Awesome video ! Perfect sum up
Great video, you get a much better understanding of the running cost of a Nurburgring-taxi. The video quality and the quality of the photos that Tom is taking is just superb! Which is his primary camera, that he's using to take these awesome shots?
Pics are mix of Bruno and Tom. 7D.4 and 5D.3
Very interesting. I for one am glad you take such good care of the Taxi's and would rather pay more to have a safer and fast ride.
Great detail from Robert, I like his accountant look at running costs but please talk slightly slower (pause for breath) as it's hard to process and comprehend at times. Big thumbs up!
Honest video, very few companies would show these numbers
I did this last week in the m3
Anyone thinking this is expensive is naive
Clearly these cars will go through tyres and brakes exceptionally fast!!!!!!
The work involved in the original modifications most cost stupid money!!!
Now the lap
Imho forgetting the justification of costs it's worth EVERY PENNY!!!

That is a really awesome breakdown! Thanks! I am super interested in the McLaren now :-D
Another cool vid 👍😁👍
Great video! Thx for the information. Interesting to see how the difference between 700 and 1000 laps can make or break the profit for the M3!
Very interesting video ! I had the chance to lap the Ring in this M3 last year and can't wait to test the new mods ! Congrats to to the team for making Apex such a good companie and wish you all the best for the 2019 season.
This was one really interesting video! Can't wait to see the video of the mclaren 😄

Brilliant video guys, really informative.
So I guess you won't be making any money on the M3 this year with all the mods!
Almost true haha
Very cool. Thanks.
Great video
It is worth the money 200% its a epic experience
Pretty impresive numbers, Could you make a video about the reliability of the cars in this tough usage (Robert spoke about sensors and injectors on the BMW) ?
That's pretty much it!
Following your lets be open agenda, nice!
Why not have custom hubs and driveshafts made that last longer?
The drift taxi at ebisu circuit has 4 buckets and a cage aswell
But not street legal
Cheap at the price if you ask me. Best rollercoaster in the world with a top driver at the wheel, whats not to like.. Its either worth it to you or its not, was to me. All the best guys✌
Top video 👍
These guys are a proper professional outfit
This is truly an amazing breakdown. Makes me want to appreciate e36 running costs :D
Didn´t you guys use Nankang tires???
I saw Michelins on the taxi, just courious
Nankang were not available in our sizes last year, but they are for this year! More on that in tomorrow's video!
Eh?
@@mgcharoudin I think you meant not available last year ;)
Oops fixed, thnx!
1:05 Who is the guy to the left? Had a lap with him last year in the M3, please tell him that it was the best time of my life :)
That is our one and only Tim Morley!
You can see Robert really knows his stuff when it comes down to business. I also think it is important to make a breakdown of all the costs involved, to justify the price. garage space and property tax as well

Good breakdown on the cost of doing something like this. Also Will you guys be trying the Nankang AR-1 this year?
Not trying, running!
