I upgraded both my mom and my little sister with a 13 pro, they still had iPhone 8/Xr and I was able to give them both a premium iPhone experience for less than 800 bucks in total. This is a goated iPhone still being a refreshing upgrade even 3 years later!!!

I’m still using my 13 pro max. I used to upgrade ever year but realized how much money I was wasting on upgrading. Works great.. see no reason to upgrade until it dies

I have had every Pro Max since the 11 Pro Max. The 13 Pro Max’s battery/battery capacity was by far the best. I was completely disappointed with the 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. I’m currently at 283 cycles and have 91% capacity. I am hoping my 16 Pro Max will bring back my battery confidence.
I was also completely disappointed in the 12 Pro Max.
Yeah man the battery on that thing was legit. I haven’t had too much of a problem with the 15 pro but it was definitely less than my 13 pro when it was new
@@mattd8670 they used a intel modem for 5g,,, that is what gimped the 12 pm...qualcomm modems are much better,, tim cook penny pinching again to appease the shareholders...

Unrelated to the 13 Pro but on the topic you brought up of the newer phones not having physical SIM card trays. If you want a newer iphone but still want the SIM card physical, try to buy an iPhone from Canada. All of the ones there still have the physical tray
i have this device. ❤ and i’ll use this for next 2 years and then i will upgrade to 15 pro because even 18 pro will not have any serious features. 🥹apple being apple, btw technology is touching the PEAK already.

@@JonAdamsTech just replaced the battery from an authorised apple store. i have also used the pro max version but that mobile feels like brick haha so i downgraded to pro model. i am saying that it’s less comparatively max model but it still manages to give 4-5 hours on-screen.

Great idea using the back up phone for social media so your regular phone that you have all day doesn’t steal your spare time on social media and you can use the Bible app instead of Instagram
@@Er_DineshChauhanwhat? 4-5 hrs sot with new battery? I have regular 13 and could game for 4-5hrs easy I get around 10 hours sot. Never less than 8 with games camera stuff and being outside with brightness all the way up. Feel like whatever iOS version u have is screwing up your battery badly. That happened to me as well an update pretty much cut battery life close to in half. 😢 luckily two updates later it fixed itself.
I have the iphone 13 pro 512gb sierra blue. i dont plan on upgrading in the next few years because personally all the newer iphone upgrades are not really game changing for me. Also I hate the dynamic island, it feels way more distracting than the notch.
Yeah keep that thing as long as possible! I actually find the Dynamic Island to be a useful tool though, having directions and other info in that little pill is pretty helpful
The iPhone 13 Pro is the best ever release of an iPhone IMO. It has aged so well. From this phone on - there have been minor upgrades like better cameras, notch to dynamic island and then more recently USB C. this is such a good phone honestly. 120Hz aswell 🔥. I will swear by the iPhone 13 Pro til the end of time 🤣

I personally hate the Dynamic Island and think it is more intrusive. I have a 13 pro and honestly can’t find any negatives, except it is on the heavier side. The 120hz panel was a game changer. The cameras are already more than adequate for a phone. What are people really taking pictures of anyway? Selfies lol. The 13 pro has good speakers, good screen, it is still plenty bright at 1000 nits, battery can replaced. Nothing to change really. The chip is more than adequate. I game with CoD mobile, I just turn it to medium settings, no biggie. I still was in the top 1.4% in cod mobile, so it is more the player than the phone anyways.
The 13 pro has a way better camera than the 14 pro. I am so sorry I upgraded. Gave my 13 pro to my daughter so I ask her to take photos of my art with it sometimes 😄

You are spot on man! I use my Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro Max as my daily driver. I decided not to upgrade because of the SIM card tray being removed.
I switch between the 13 pro max and the 13 mini all the time and esim annoys me. My 13 pro max is still on iOS 16 and my 13 mini is still on iOS 16.6.
Man let me tell you I don’t care for any new iPhone 14/15/16/17…I believe my 13 pro max and 13 mini was the peak stability. Battery life is actually amazing I get about 2 days and battery health is on 90%
But I still keep up with all the new iPhones I am just not gonna buy it lol

Love the 13 line up. My wife has the 13 Pro Max, I have the 13 Mini. They do everything we want to, the phone battery lasts all day. All you have to do is turn off the background refresh apps, and this is on my mini. The only reason we are upgrading to the new 16 Pro and Pro max is bc our carrier offered us $1000 off with trade in and were able to use our even older Note 9s to trade, so we got to keep the 13s as spare devices.
That’s a solid plan!
I think the 13 series is the best modern iPhone series; both lineups are solid and there’s a size for everyone.
I previously had the base 13 and recently tried the 13 Pro, the Pro felt so premium and it was $550 before tax on Amazon but I ultimately stuck with my 13 mini. The 16 and SE4 feel tempting but the reasons I’d want to jump for are relatively minor.
Keep that mini as long as possible!!
@@JonAdamsTech I probably will, I remember I was on the 12 mini when it came out and had convinced myself out of upgrading. Eventually when the battery degraded I jumped around to some different phones but came back with the 13 mini; definitely an upgrade I should’ve done. I’m happy I tried out some different phones but I bought both refurbished through Amazon, not only was the 13 mini better overall but I got a better deal on it than when I bought the 12 mini.
I bought a Sierra Blue refurbished in late August and it was a great upgrade from my iPhone 11 which was on its dying days

I’m still rocking the 13 pro. It drives my UA-cam channel. Sometimes I edit videos on it. I also game on. This thing is still a beast!
My battery has been at 78% for 6 months haha. It could be just me but my phone does really well throughout the day

I have the 13 pro I remember all the tech people were saying don’t upgrade, but I ended up upgrading and I don’t regret it, but I’m probably gonna upgrade this year because my battery is at 82% and my carrier won’t give me the biggest discount if it goes under 80

I still have my alpine green 13 pro max. I’m not going to upgrade anytime soon. But I do wish I had usb C. I hate having to carry an extra cable just for my iPhone
Yeah that’s the one thing that would actually push me to upgrade, I love having usbc on my phone!
Regarding the SIM card, when I travel overseas these days I prefer getting an eSIM. It's just way too convenient to get an eSIM. In a weird way, I am happy that Apple pushed the carriers for eSIM support around the world.
So what do you have to do to change it? Is do you just contact the company and tell them which device you want on their network?

I’m upgrading from my product red XR 128GB I bought new in 2019 to a 13 Pro Max 256GB in the stunning alpine green I bought on Swappa for $600 with 98% battery health. It’s a 9.5 out of 10 condition. Fully expect it to last me until the last supported version of iOS comes out for it. I also prefer the small notch that the 13 pros had vs the dynamic island that drops further down overall

@@JonAdamsTech Arrived Saturday afternoon via USPS in concerningly minimal packaging but it survived. It is such a premium device in every way and feels like a massive upgrade. The only blemishes I can find are on the screen protector that was already installed and everything works perfectly. Without having seeing it in person beforehand, the alpine green was the perfect choice.

📌I don't care about resale value. I bought Alpine Green in March 2022 and plan to keep my phone until 2026 at least. It's a 5 years phone easy.
📌If it ain't broke and still has iOS support, don't buy a new one.
The only "issue" to buy this phone today would be not having usb-c...

No USB-C is a show stopper.
