When the witch doctor asked for money to pay for cursing the other team, the Socceroos refused to pay, so he then reversed the curse onto them. For years after, the Socceroos continually lost and only qualified for the world cup once in 32 years (to then lose again straight away). Then in 2004 documentary maker John Safran traveled to Zimbabwe and convinced another witch doctor to lift the curse (paying him this time).He did and the Socceroos have qualified for every world cup since.

It was not until 10 days later, after praying with our reverend for many hours, that I awoke from my coma! (She begged my forgiveness 25 years later while crying to me hysterically.) I forgave her then she and I both apologized for the misdeeds of our foolish youths. :-)
