I just heard a new area (to me) a beautiful piece of music made better with her beautiful voice called "CARUSO". You'll find it very very intriguing. Absolutely love her singing..................Emery Terry of Florida
For me the very very best version of hers interpretations of this song is the one of her first album (2014).. something truly brillant, something from elsewhere. something truly brilliant. unsurpassable.
Amira is incredible, she has matured so wonderfully, and she was already great at 8 or 9 when she won 'Holland's got Talent' in 2013.. William have you seen/listened to Forestella singing Nella Fantastia.. It is gorgeous too.. Best wishes from Wales .. :D
Amira was clearly a gifted singer from a young age who was also striving for perfection by constantly rehearsing at home. Not surprising then that SONY signed her to produce a CD in London I think whilst still nine years old. I bought it and thought it really well produced.
"Nella Fantasia" sung by 12-year-old Amira is wonderful with a pure and beautiful singing voice! 🎼🎤😃👍👍Amira is doing something that would normally be unthinkable😳
william have you heard amira singing ebben!ne andro lontana you must see it its out of this world the very best ever its fantastic beyon anything i have ever heard
Hello William! Thank you again for your great reaction! They are almost as enjoyable as Amira's singing. 😘Compared to Amira's performance on "Afrikaans is Groot" in November 2016, her breathing technique has improved significantly. However, what irritated me a little about this performance in March 2018, is, that she mixed up the lyrics of the first and second verse which then doesn't make sense. But anyway, it's still beautiful! Greetings from Germany!
Hi Sabine, I thought it was important to highlight the phrasing and not breathing in the middle of words. The video quality isn’t great but the tempo is super. I didn’t worry about the wrong words (chiaro/ guisto?). I used to sing this song a lot and because it’s strophic it’s easy to confuse the words. Schubert is even worse with 7 or 8 verses!!! 🎶😜
I know it may be hard to believe (and this is just my opinion shared with many others), but there is an even better version of this a year or two earlier when she was 12 or 13! Better in terms of production, camera angles, bigger scale of orchestra and background singers, and the way Amira sings it with even greater passion. You should check it out as well!
i am not a music person per se, but i think that 2016 performance (age 12) was a slower tempo, so not sure what William would think about it, although i believe it was much more emotional than this 2018 version. Again, i am a nobody, just an old guy who absolutely adores the divine Amira. ua-cam.com/video/z_WyjEj5DW8/v-deo.html
I think her mother is playing the violin in the orchestra (Dark pink scarf - I'm sure that is her). Amira's breathing is so much better at this age. Breathing in the middle of words is something that Andre Rieu worked on with her, but she didn't manage to stop it - I think because she didn't understand what she was singing. In the end, here just before the high C, she does breathe in the middle of "anima".
She does breathe before the last two notes but I think that's totally acceptable, as you point out, preparing for the high C. I didn't spot her mother playing the violin!
Amira sang OMBC in Polen with a young serious classical conductor in the making and in the rehearsal he immediately pointed out Amira paused where the notes in the sheet told him something else. Amira later in an interview commented that she always prioritize how she sound and is not a slave to the script as classical trained musicians in general are. Rieu on the other hand is very skilled and just, with hearing, listen how Amira(and other singers) can sing to the best effect and adopts the orchestra to the performer, not the opposite. Most classical trained musicians are very static and lacks musicality to do the same.
I understood the writer was Chiara Ferrau. This is not Amira's best Nella Fantasia (July 2016), or the best production (suggest you look at November 2016). I'm not sure that is Amira's mother, although there is a resemblance.
@@BangkokVoiceCoach I know that Amira's mother was NOT playing in that orchestra. She was in the audience along with Amira's manager at the time, Mike Fuller. This performance took place on March 2nd, 2018, 3 1/2 weeks before Amira's 14th birthday. On this day Amira also announced the release of her third album entitled "With all my heart".
Joe - Which one? There was the NWU performance in Potchefstroom, South Africa - 23 Nov 2016 & the 'Afrikaans is Groot' concert staged in South Africa in November 11-13, 2016.
This beautiful aria with music by Ennio Morricone from the film “The Mission,” and lyrics added by Chiara Ferraù is about an imaginary world of peace and harmony. I presume the implication is that this is the fantasy of the missionary which provokes enormous irony. The “mission” of the missionary is to persuade the indigenous people to abandon their cultural traditions and superstitions in favor of the missionary’s culture and superstitions. Europeans generally regarded indigenous peoples to be “savages” in need of “salvation.” So the fantasy is presumably about a world of European culture and superstition, rather than of any sort of diversity or inclusion.
@@cmlarose50 Exactly my point! Impose their Euro-centric superstitions upon the indigenous people as if the cultural superstitions of the natives are somehow inferior.
@@cmlarose50 Cultural anthropologists and historians have collected an overwhelming amount of data on the ubiquitous presence of religious fantasies throughout the history of the human species. These fantasies provide explanations for natural phenomena: Atlas carries the earth through the heavens; Neptune roils the seas; Pele causes the volcanos to erupt; et cetera. Creation myths are common yet widely varied in their in their agents and mechanisms. These fantasies arise through the universal human behavior of anthropomorphism, defined by Mirrian-Webster as: an interpretation of what is not human or personal in terms of human or personal characteristics. Attempting to talk a putt into the cup, or Pudge Fisk yelling and waiving at the fly ball to remain fair are common examples. Once we acknowledge the behavior, it is evident that we imagine an agent who will hear our entreaty. Since this behavior is universal it is no great leap to realize that there will be those who capitalize on the insecurity of others by advancing the claim to have an “in” with those mythical agents. This is the origin of the “Medicine Man,” shaman or priest. It is imperative that we acknowledge the natural, rather than supernatural, origins of religious fantasy because those fantasies are the primer for all subsequent gullibility.
