Nick Paulin & Abby Rose - Regenerative Viticulture Series

This session is a conversation between Abby Rose, co-founder & CEO of Vidacycle, and Nick Paulin of AONZ. Nick's journey to viticulture started with a family history of farming in Central Otago and has led him to work as a viticulturist with a passion for organic and biodynamic farming initially at Felton Road Wines and later at Peregrine Wines. In 2011 Nick won the national Young Viticulturist of the year competition in New Zealand and has continued to be involved on the national committee. In his current role as national viticulturist (Vine Gardener) for AONZ Fine Wine Estates, overseeing the vineyard activities across Hawkes Bay, North Canterbury and Central Otago Nick has channeled that passion into experimenting with applying different regenerative techniques within the organic/biodynamic context to improve the resilience of the vineyards across different climates, addressing the varied challenges they face.
