Cormac’s treble / boy soprano singing earned him a Decca album, four yesses from the Britain's Got Talent judges, a place in the BBC Young Chorister choirboy/girl competition final and a place at Prodigy Camp for young musicians and filmmakers in USA.
Now 14, Cormac's changing voice is captured beautifully in Cinema Paradiso (Se) as he sings in Italian for the first time.

Ennio Morricone's masterpiece ‘Cinema Paradiso' (Se) was a key part of my recent video story 'A Borrowed Gift' and I'm very lucky to have been to Birmingham recently to record a second video for just the song this time. The track was recorded back in August 2022, so my voice is a little different now and that's the story we tell in 'A Borrowed Gift' so everything is very much connected on these two. My first time singing in Italian, we think I'm the first boy soprano to cover 'Cinema Paradiso' it's normally just been done by the grown ups!! and I really hope that you enjoy it. Apologies in advance for any pronunciation howlers 😅😅and if any one thinks they can get it heard by anyone who has previous connections to the song like Ennio Morricone's team or Josh Groban or even Benedetta Caretta that would be fab 😉🙌

I found your video recording of Se, and it so beautifully reminded me of my son, who had a beautiful soprano voice when he was young. We did not know that he had an enlarged heart at that time that was ticking like a bomb. I don’t think it was an accident that I found your lovely recording on the 16th anniversary of his passing. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful gift. Continue to sing as your voice changes, music fills the soul.

So beautiful lyric in English, I would have liked to Italian version as well. I can read it perfectly but singing it’s hard to follow. Anyway, it was beautifully sung. It’s very hard to loose a child, I know because I also lost a son. I miss him everyday and I am 80 now and as a Christian I will see him in not such a long time. In the meantime I try to enjoy as much as I can and be as active as I can. That’s important not to succumb in your sorrow and be as creative as you can. Then you can also be happy again. All the best to you ❤

Not that there was anything but brilliance in your voice when you were younger, but as you get older your voice seems to sound even more expressive, more mature, even richer...if that's possible. Your voice is becoming more haunting, more arresting, more compelling as you get older. That can only bode well for your future.

There is also another Vancouver in USA, South of the Vancouver BC, both located in the Pacific Northwest region.
A lovely rendition of yet another lovely Masterpiece from the Maestro Morricone.
I've taken the liberty of translating it to Portuguese from the Italian verses. It would have been easier to me to translate it from English to Portuguese but, being Italian and Portuguese such closely relatable languages, I felt I would be able to keep most of the subtle poetic intentions by doing it from the Italian. I could not find a translation to the Portuguese Language, and being that it is the Classical Language of Poets, I felt it deserved one, even if from someone like me, who is not a professional translator. I did my best. I hope you, who speaks and reads the Portuguese Language are able to enjoy it.

It's interesting to watch him as he and his voice mature. Still right on pitch but using lower octaves. Love listening to him at all stages of his vocal development.

Cinema Paradiso is my favorite movie of all time, and while I did have a favorite instrumental version of this theme, until today I did not have a favorites vocal. It's a tragedy that ever fewer people fully appreciate the purity and artistry which a trained treble affords good melodies. There is such a difference in tone and throat voice between a girls' choir (fantastic though good ones are) and a choir of trebles. Cormac proves the point excellently. ❤
As a trained treble in the 1950s I can understand your feelings. Once our voices 'broke' we were dumped and told not to sing.
My true tenor voice was only rediscovered thirty years later by then too late.
