I live on the NorCal coast, took up study of ravens and crows, calling , they respond, but seagulls also respond to the crows calling they found food , like seagulls but not their character , bullies and gobble up everything. Crows and ravens seem fairly respectful to each other, take a treat and leave and or make room for the next guy,, now I run at gulls to leave with deep caww focused on them. At first it scared off the crows and ravens but in short order they realized I was focused on the gulls and not on them and didn't fly away, made sure to my eyes focused eye to eye on the gulls, even began to see ravens and larger crows help me run off the gulls... Drive all around town and coast area less than a mile, have about 6 perch areas that I alternate, safe areas they can land and trees or buildings for them to perch then swoop down.
New viewer here. Just stumbled across your “crow videos” as I recently became interested in calling crows. Found an old crow call I had when I was a kid and decided I needed a new pastime in retirement! You really do an excellent call without a device!! I’m surprised at how wary the birds were in this vid. A very cautious lot, indeed. Thanks for posting these, I am enjoying them - and learning from them.

So happy to have you along for the ride! And crows levels of wariness seem to vary greatly. Mine are super cautious but not all are.
