Charles Oliveira da Silva (born 17 October 1989) is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and third degree black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner. Oliveira started training Brazilian jiu-jitsu in his youth, achieving multiple championship titles before transitioning to MMA in 2007. Oliveira currently competes in the Lightweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is the former UFC Lightweight Champion. Oliveira holds multiple UFC records, notably the most submission wins in the organization's history at 16, most finishes at 20 and most bonuses at 19. As of May 10, 2022, he is #1 in the UFC lightweight rankings and as of November 14, 2023, he is #6 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.

By far my favourite fighter in the 155 division. He smokes Islam in a rematch.
Agree, Islams got a questionable chin we’ve seen him knocked out cold before from a nobody whos certainly not known as a hard hitter. Volk dropped him twice and stunned him a couple times. Charles IMO is the hardest hitter in 155, even Gaethje says he’s never felt power like Oliveiras. Charles drops islam in the rematch then subs him or hits him so hard he shoots for a sloppy takedown and we all know how the story ends. Islams really bad for leaving his neck exposed when shooting for takedowns, if you watch his fights it’s blatantly obviously. Nik Lentz and Arman almost had him in a gullotine but they’re not on the same level of BJJ as Charles, not even close.
Uh, no. Charles did two things in that first fight, jack and shit and nothing in that fight suggested it would be any different in a rematch. Moot point anyway, Arman is going to smoke Olives.
@@markshaw1540 we’ll see. Arman has a tendency to leave his neck exposed when shooting for takedowns, if that happens, that’s a wrap right there. It’s over for Arman the referee will be wakening him up.
