The game was 90-94 with 8 min left in the 4th Q when they pulled out Bron for minute restriction and that was a perfect time and game for AD to show he is ready to take the torch but he just doesn’t have that mentality
The lakers have a ton of issues against this team in particular. I actually think they’ll be fine against any other team. Darvin Ham doesn’t have the savviness to get them past the size of Denver. Once again, if AD doesn’t play the 4 against this team they don’t have a chance.

We won the title with AD playing at the 4 all season with the exception of a few teams when we had to go small. When he had to play the 5 he was well rested because he was at the 4 the majority of the season.
Man- the amount of people that would love & could potentially put AD's abilities to better use.. & AD just seems to be okay with being "okay"

I really don't think it's a mentality issue, it's a health issue, if he pushed 100% like the top guys do his body would fall apart, he can barely stay healthy playing as is. He's not a lazy dude he doesn't come out of training camp overweight like some dudes, his body just isn't durable.

Nick apologizing and straight up admitting he was wrong about Jokic is why this show is different from most modern day sports talk shows. They take accountability for their takes without trying to gaslight, twist and change what they said, or move the goal posts like Skip Bayless with LeBron. @@h98986 To be fair, Giannis's resume is still slightly better than Jokic's, thanks to his Defensive Player of the Year award, even though Jokic is clearly the best player in the league these days. Wright lives in the past when evaluating Giannis, whose best years are probably behind him. This is annoying, but at least he respects Jokic as one of the two best players in the league at this point.

How is straight out lying to justify himself taking accountability? Jokic has only been eliminated in the first round once, and it was not questionable, both Murray and MPJ missed that series against the eventual NBA champions.

I would still take AD over DH. Dwight Howard along with Westbrook is one of the lowest IQ basketball players of all time. He picks up fouls or gets thrown out of games at the absolute worst times. Kobe couldn't stand Dwight for the same reasons, he's low IQ.
Jokić isn’t fighting for the “best player in the NBA” designation. Jokić is looking for the next smartest pass - or, reluctantly, the smartest shot if he happens to have it - to help his team get the win that night. Jokić doesn’t care about the sports media conversations or the stat sheet. To me, that is exactly why he’s the best player in the league. Jokić gets the whole team involved. You can’t just beat Jokić; you have to beat the whole team. If you “stop” Jokić, it only pulls in the defense, which Jokić wants anyway so he can surgically pass to the open man in the best position to score. There are no good answers to Jokić.
Exactly. He didn't average a triple-double by 0.1% assists, or whatever, because he couldn't be arsed to get back in games to pad his numbers... the opposite of Perkins' take. If basketball had a rule (like rugby), where teams get extra points/win % from a game, if a player scored 30, he would average 32. But it doesn't, so his team doesn't benefit... and he doesn't do it.
Oh yes American analysis from analysts who never played classic team basketball at a high level. The American game is inferior to the international game which is a throwback to the classic game. Classic team basketball team will beat the NBA's Street ball (one-on-one basketball) every time. Look at how much the nuggets cut back door and how often they run that pick and roll and or give and go. The rotation from ball side to weak side on the perimeter happens every time it's open. But without Jokic they would revert to American style. The difference between American and international ball is so obvious to the rest of the world that many people in Europe think that they invented pick-and-roll, backdoor baseline cuts and give and go. You think I'm full of it then take a look at how well we've done in the world championships the last two times. It wouldn't shock me to see us get beat by Slovenia with 10 million people in the next Olympics.
This crew and the boys at tnt are the best part of the nba season for me. I just enjoy watching them a lot.

He runs their entire defense. He's always yelling other teams plays out and where everyone needs to be in position he's such a smart player. I wish people would recognize his defense more. He ain't no rim protector but he's one of the best paint defenders in the leauge. He just looks slow so everyone thinks he's bad lol
I feel like people think that because a couple times a game he'll give up a layup without much contest, however he does that to stay out of foul trouble which is the smart thing to do considering he's maybe the best offensive player of all time and it's important for him to stay in the ballgame.

The problem with nicks criticism of joker is that he was winning mvps and being treated like a legend without winning. But he failed to realize that every other legend goes through that. Unless youre magic or duncan, you dont win in your first seasons. Lebron was already a legend, won mvps but didnt win a chip until he was 28. Thats normal, and thats exactly what happened to joker. Once lebron and joker got good teams, they won. When jordan got a good team, he won. When giannis team switched bledsoe with holiday and added a few more pieces, he won.
It didn't help Nick's case that he LITERALLY said that the Nuggets, in previous years, "weren't a healthy Jamal Murray & Michael Porter Jr. away from a championship". Plus, he finally admitted to the "non-all time great", "only Top-7 in the league" slander.

Fun fact the lakers only play the nuggets once this season. Only way they will play each other again would be if they both get to the playoffs. Without AR, Gabe’s, LBJ, or Princes play, the game would have been a lot worse for his lack of aggressiveness. He has not been aggressive and still to this day doesn’t like playing center. If he actually did and focused on post up play he would not be such an up & down player like he is.
