Push down on the bonnet and turn the key.

Just take the grill off and reach up to the cable and pull down. No need to do as much as you’re saying

Chris don't know if you have ever worked in a transit custom but that is not possible without cutting the grill out. Also there are a few other bars etc in the way b4 reaching the cable that can't be reached past without stripping this far back. If the cable had been connected to the unlocking mechanism via that white. Plastic but I showed you then I could have put a bar up and popped the bonnet but that is not the issue in this case. The plastic bit I showed had broken and popped off entirely, pulling the cable would have done nothing because it wasn't attached to the mechanism. Hope this clears that up. For you

@@giveitagoguybyrne2362 actually I have a Tourneo Custom which is the mini bus version of the transit. I’ve already done it to mine because the keg broke out in the lock. You remove the panel underneath the grille using a plastic lever tool and then you pry off the grille

@@Wilkoschoices jeez lad youre quick of the mark replying. Would like to see that video being done.. I asked 2 mechanics b4 I tried this myself. Still can't figure out what you saying to pop out and also still can't see how it could have been done easier. Make the video and put it up, tag me also and I'll then bough to your superior knowledge of transit customs. If what you saying is right it'll help someone else, that's why I did this video. Not to be a UA-cam millionaire or anything like that just to try to be helpful.

Also just reading your last. Message here again. Key broke in lock? Cable was still attached to the white but that is attached to the lock mechanism so if you pulled the cable it would open the lock. Think this is where you are missing my issue. The cable had become unattached from the locking mechanism and therfore accessing the cable wasn't the issue here it was accessing the back of the lock itself. As I think the video explained there is a video on you tube where a guy sticks a bar up from underneath and can pop the bonnet. By accessing the cable. It did not work for me because the cable was not again not attached to the back of the lock. Again I hope this explains the difference between your issue and what had happened my van

@@giveitagoguybyrne2362 look at the penal below the grille and you’ll see a place for prying it off on top right side. The grille is attached to the panel. Look at the AA’s UA-cam post Plus I have notifications when people reply, hence my quick response
