Of course, you've noticed that there is another untranslatable play on words: The phrases "was wahr ist" ("what is true") and "was war, ist" ("what was, is") sound absolutely identical in German.
Severin usually announces this song in live play that they wrote it for 2 friends that they lost.... There were 2 of their classmates that died on a world tour after the baccalaureate in a car accident... they were only able to write about it 7 years after the event (they used to play another song in their memory before)..... Did you notice the suitcase being used as a base drum (amk did that when they wrote songs while travelling)..... the lyrics describe grief and a bit of surviver's guilt, too, I think... beautifully expressed
For me "Sowas kriegst du aus dem Herzen nicht mehr raus" -> Such thigs can't be removed from your heart is an especially beautiful phrase because in german wie usually use it in the context of stains in clothes. Like "Rotwein kriegst du nicht mehr raus" -> You won't get redwine (staines) removed. Beautiful peotry to take this conecpt over to a humans heart.
Sadly it’s not about losing someone to a break up. It’s worse. And as Henning says - you can’t remove that from your heart. You doomed to carry that loss till the end of your days
@@walterooski He refers to his mother in some of his lyrics. It always seems the pain is on a whole different level in the songs about her, versus the love/break-up songs. She left the family when Henning was very young and died when he was in his late teens. I don't know much more, since he doesn't really talk about her. But the songs he writes about her are so devastating. Breaks my heart every time.
@walterooski That's the wonderful thing about music. Even if you do not fully understand everything, you can still relate, in your own way to it. It's only important that you can feel it.
I m a grown ass man of 37 years. But I tear up every time I listen to this song. And I can’t help it. If you suffered a loss before you can’t help it I believe. Masterpiece of emotions
No need to feel sorry. Your pronunciation is pretty good. You followed the tip about just listen to Henning and repeat and it works. We can hear that. Good job, keep doing it 🤩
@walterooski Thank you for your great reactions to the songs by AMK. I come back to them often. But I couldn't find your reaction to "Ozean" anymore. Did you delete it? Greetings!
thanks sooo much for the impressive 9-day amk-streak. still so many more gems to be discovered, but you knew that ;) Hennings Cry me a River cover, waiting for Lucy, sometimes i like to lie is recorded in a forest, made me believe during a university class. and in case you run out of songs, after i hope many more weeks, there are also a few Henning AI fake generated songs. take me to church, the show must go on, house of the rising sun... thx again
i only made a statement that this stuff exist. get used to it. its just the start on the path of our destruction, lol ;) and if you're a little bit nerdy AI is definitly interesting. imagine the people who saw the first phonograph/telephone/train/car/stonewheel/etc claiming who needs this modern shit :)
@@muhkuh0816 yes, I know it's the "future" but why recommed something you know is not sung by the artist? That's not the point of reactions. Go ahead and listen to them as much as you want to. I just think that is disrespectful for the artist.

Henning's mother died relatively fat (don't know the reason) - he's written a song for his father, too. I guess we'll never be told if he's singing about a long-term realtionship or about the loss of his mother. 'You still tell so much about her...'
Thank you 😇

The seriousness & palpable pain is the ultimate emotion in this. This is about his late mother. Very heavy indeed.
Oh dang, I tremendously misread that
Grief in general though. Loss is loss.

to be honest, most songs about his mother, are about his father@@suvijii841

Great job. You once react to Giant Rooks, you should do more of them. They actually have a new album, „How have you been“,and it’s impressive!
I'm actually going to see them on tour here in Phoenix, AZ in May!!!! I'll definitely be returning to them!

Jenny, Jenny is only logical to do next, it's a banger from Slachscatten
Sexual Orientation: Hennings Voice 🥰
Simply thx a lot for your reaction. Great job! Greets from Stuttgart
I think it is about a Partner WHO died for seven years and that life goes on for you and that your cant get this Out of your Heart

I love this one! Beautiful setting
Go for giant rooks: quicksand. You will love it, i'm sure.
For me, its about a Person who died
This song is about his dad and his mom. He grew up with a single dad. So it makes a lot of sense that this reminded you of your marriage.
Bet you like other German musicians? Each of them is exceptional in their genre -- Dancehall: Seeed, Reggae: Gentleman, Blues: Henrik Freischlader
I would like to add jesper munk. He is also very deep like henning with a lot of soul and depth to his voice and songs.. also he is still pretty young
Check out Bukhara
This song is so sad
To me your pronunciation of "sieben Jahre" sounded perfect.
fast, not fat...
