Nice driving. I was there a few weeks ago. I just installed those exact exhaust parts last weekend and will be getting a flex fuel tune soon. I was only able to get to about 105 on the back straight but our lap times are almost identical. So Im curious to see if I can pick up those extra few MPH on the long sections with the heads/over-mid pipe and tune.
Thanks! I went back and looked through some data, and 105mph on the back straight was what I'd hit in my 1st gen. Before the headers and tune my good laps are all 108-110mph, with the tune it's 110-113mph. The shift into 5th saps some time, in the old car I'd just wring out 4th and brake at redline (about 108mph was the fastest in that car with a good tailwind). Weather makes a bit of a difference too. Hot days rob time. I run on 93, so if you're doing a flex fuel tune, you'd probably make more power than I do. There might also be 1-2mph difference from tire width, I was on my skinny tires.
@SamGraff thanks for the feedback. I'm on 245s. I also dropped some weight out of the car and added some aero. So aiming for the sub 2:10s. I know a couple guys already wellninde that with really wells setup TT cars. So chasing them.
@@Bones12x2 I bet he aero is what's got your top speed lower. I don't have any and the interior is full stock. I did a 2:10.3 on some RE71rs back in September, so the time is there for sure. We just have to go find it. I'll need to be in 8's to keep up with Silvio in SCCA TT Tuner 3, and even that might not be enough.
