so many little details in this! I know nothing about music, i can't judge it based on formal terms but i can appreciate the multitude of simultaneous sounds that kind of assault your senses when you hear it.
Fantastic to have this available -- great music and equally great performance! Thanks! I'm always trying to identify the instrumentation when playing this game. Clearly the flashy arpeggios (at 0:21) are flute, and later (at1:03) it's recorder; but the one in between, at 0:30, seems to be neither! Sounds a bit like tin whistle (or pan pipes?), but I'm not sure. Anyone know? 🤔
Tarkas Bane They're very much pushed back in the mix but they're there. I actually talked to Wilbert Roget and he told me that he used the jazz organ patch that comes with Kontakt.
So many souvenirs...and the best ones!!!
The motifs that make this soundtrack so special are wonderful.

I've easily done a thousand view on this video
Verdammter Ohrwurm aber gefällt mir gut hab beim Gronkh Monkey Island 1,2,3 geschaut.
Bin voll kleben geblieben auf den sound👍
love this!!
My favourite Monkey Island Game by far. Also my favourite version of the intro theme.
wish I had a shitty pc from the 90s to experience the real 8-bit ost.
I used to play that game on Amiga 500 and later Amiga 1200, music was way better than the 8bit quality of the PC version
Dosbox is your friend

check out "LGR - Evolution of PC Audio - As Told by Secret of Monkey Island" for original sounding versions of the theme
I'm really wondering what organ was used here and what it was set to.
If you're talking about the off-beat chords, I think it's steel drums with very little treble. I don't hear any organs.

@@tarkasbane1305 There are most definitely organs filling up the mids.

I don't get why some do not include the Campfire track when its prob the best tune of the lot and a part of the intro
Just use the playlist and they'll play back-to-back:
