Hi Marc... never heard of TTFFC soaps, but since it's tallow based...it's almost guaranteed to be good (-: I never did get good shaves with Fatboys ... hence I sold it. Cheers.
Hey Caesar! The real problem here are the blades. They gave me nicks and cuts even in the Merkur 38c. Too sharp for acne scaring... I like the Fatboy but I do prefer the slim.
Nice review Marc! For me personally, I absolutely love those Personna blades! Now as for the TTFFC Soap, it’s a good soap base, but the reason why it’s not as popular is because many have had a reaction to her soaps! And I my self have also had a issue with it! But that’s just what I’ve constantly heard behind closed doors. People don’t talk about it out in the open or in public because the artisan is well known in the community & they just don’t want to Upset, or Hurt the Artisans Feelings. But when the truth & honesty come out, so do the FanBoys! So now you know! 😬 The ones I’ve got is the Amber, which is a full size tub & the other is a big size sample of Million. But the one I had a reaction to was Ember! 😕 🤷🏻♂️
I really like the blades but they are too sharp for my acne scaring. You should see what happens when I use a Feather... I will still try them in the Wilkinson Classic (the plastic razor), I like them and I really want to find a way to keep them. Thanks for the info on the soap. Now, funny you mention that, I had an email from a subscriber not too long ago about a reaction to a soap I used in the past. My only recommendation in cases like this, stop using it and send a nice email to the artisan letting them know of the situation. I will say from experience 90% of the artisans are receptive to the feed back when we don't call their soap with vulgar terms... I even had a few who tried to tweak the scent and scent me samples to try the new formulation. We sometime tend to forget that artisans want our recurring business. If we help them improving on their product, we all win. This is where the "fanboyery" hurts the artisan. They are the force that prevents the artisan on improving their products and often they will make people think twice about trying their prefered artisans... IMHO, they are the ones keeping wet shaving a niche thing where it is super hard for artisans to grow and thrive. That's all I got to say about that...
Dartmouth Shaving Yup, 100% true! Very well said, I couldn’t agree more! It’s just sad that, that’s not always the case with it all! But still, you are right nonetheless! 😉👍🏼
@@ernieborraga548 I think it was a typo on his part. They used to have "Ember" and I cannot comment on that one as I never tried it. At the end of the day, I really enjoyed Challenger and I am looking forward to try my sample of woody wagon
👍👍👍💈
Thank you Ken!
Excellent shave Marc I hope you had a great weekend 💈😎👍
Thank you Abe!
The week end was awesome, we finally had one day of sunchine! I hope yours was good also!

Great shave Marc! I'd like to try those blades, but have a big supply of Permasharps that I've really enjoyed, smooth and sharp. Cheers

Pretty funny, as they have never made a soap named AMBER.
