Thanks man! Hopefully this helps people with job search. I think one of the biggest problems with it that people simply dont know where to look for jobs.
Hei, I appreciate all the content you've provided. I've been following it both before and after moving to Finland, and it's been incredibly helpful. So, kiitos!
Glad you liked it! It seems that these kinds of videos are not that popular and they get perhaps a tenth of the views that other videos do. So its nice to hear that people get some value out of these 😅. So its not full waste of time.
Hello Your Videos are really helpful.Could you please make some videos about the bus and train apps in Finland and how to use them and follow the direction
My wife is an insurance agent, and I've been a writer for 12+ years, but I also have experience in customer service, working in call centers, and assisting people with their accounts for an investment company. So, I feel like we could find something, but it does worry me a smidge.
Hi Oliver.....my son is moving to Finland this Autumn. He might choose either Metropolia University of Applied Science or Tampere University of Applied Science for Bachelor program in Information technology. I need your guidance on which University to choose from Job opportunity point of view. Kindly suggest me
Hey and thanks for the question. There is nothing stopping you from applying for a job in Finland but do note that it might be quite hard to sell the idea to a Finnish company to hire you unless you already are an industry professional with a lot of experience and expertise. This is because hiring people from abroad and especially outside the EU is a long process due to work permit applications and things like that.
thankyou for the information that was very useful. are there websites specifically for english teachers or preschool teachers to find jobs english speaking jobs
Hello Sir you had given the job portal sites name it was pretty helpful video , but can you give solution for how to understand their job portal language they are using ?
This is because Finland has bad economy AND because you don't speak the language. We have hundreds of people applying for every single opening, most are educated and speak many languages.
This is an area that im not that familiar with. Im mostly focused on jobs requiring a university degree so cant really comment on other types of jobs :S
Hai Bro. Iam from India. Very helpful informtion you gave in this video. Thanks alot. I am a Computer Science Graduate. But I dont have an experience in IT Sector. I have been working in Education sector. Totally I have 12+ years of experience and my age is 33 now. Could you suggest me that, what type of job I suit for in Finland. SO That I will go through the above mentioned sites and apply.
Hi Deborah and thanks for the question. In order to work as a teacher in Finland you need to have a degree in education (normally a Master's in early-childhood education) accepted by the Finnish education system. In addition you need to also speak good enough English to work in the field. Unfortunately i dont know the exact details in terms of how to get such a degree as an international student or graduate. If you want more details, please contact SOOL or the Finnish teachers' students union which is a representative to those studying to become teachers: www.sool.fi/in-english/the-finnish-school-system/
@@deborahmusegede9034 I cant really help you here. Im really not that well versed in this field. Again, i recommend that you contact SOOL for their advice on jobs in the field.
Hey Rohit and thanks for the question. There is no reason why you couldnt find a job in Finland as an international student. Your country of origin should have no impact on this what so ever. The only question is about residence permits and whether or not you have done your degree in Finland. What i mean with this is that its simply easier to get a residence permit to work in Finland if you have also studied here.
Well if you have a degree in accounting, then i guess you should look for jobs in business administration. Do note that you cant work as an accountant in Finland with a degree from another country. Well, you could, but you have too remember that the laws and taxation in Finland are totally different to India and you would have to relearn most of the stuff if you want to work as an accountant.

Hello Oliver, iam Gowthami from India i have pursued my bachelor of Commerce(B.COM) with 8.7 CGPA and im Silver medalist of my university iam desperately looking for jobs in Finland it would be glad if you could guide me to fetch a job in my dream country(Finland). Thanks in advance, hoping for your positive reply.
Hey and thanks for the question. Im not an expert in remote hiring so cant say for sure but my general understanding is that getting a remote job to Finland is pretty darn hard because Finnish companies always prefer hiring people who are residing in the country. Especially when working with e-commerce that has a Finnish clientele. This is because you would need to understand who the clients are and what their purchasing habits are. Its pretty hard, if not impossible unless you reside in the country where your clients are. However, im sure that there are plenty of websites for freelancers like Fiverr that you could check out. Fiverr doesnt really offer any permanent positions but its one way to go.
Im sorry but im going to need quite a bit more information in order to give you any guidance. E.g. what kind of an educational background do you have and what kind of jobs are you looking for?
@@yayoos6070 you have to check the EU rules. First come Finnish natives, EU nationals, foreigners with EU passport, other European nationals, then you. The employer must prove they posted the job and found no one in the other applicant groups, so they are hiring you. Usually, that comes hand in hand with the requirement to provide your education paperwork and titles... You have no comparative advantage as language or culture goes. Store keeper is not a skilled job so you cannot take advantage of any special quotas for visas. Conclusion: you have next to zero chances of getting a job in Finland with the low level skill you possess. I say next to zilch, because you may get a call from a remote zone, but you will need C level Finnish. Sorry to pop your bubble, but sugarcoating is worse... That is how it is.
I dunno. I keep seeing comments about us being "boring" but like...who would want to live in a poor hellhole? Sure it's lively there but...😂😂 Finns love their nature, safety and personal space.
