"Aw man you're not even giving away lenses" Killed me. People who need help do not dictate the kind of help they get. They appreciate even the little they get. Keep doing the great work.
Loved the video and the deed you're doing for the community. AND the production value insane. I shoot on a Nikon F3 and it's a wonderful camera. Also if you don't mind (or prefer!) a big body, get an MD4 auto winder for it and fall in love with that glorious shutter sound.
Very vuhlandes coded at the beginning, love the humor to start - shows off ya personality bro. And yea we know people always have their opinions but you got something to stand on and that’s your heart so keep it going 🥂
Damn man, I can't even find one single functional AE-1 Program in Romania and you get mint ones as a bundle. Totally jealous! Love the initiative, only with people like you the film gang can stay alive!
Then just don look for overhyped/-prices cameras and buy a Minolta (X300/X500 or even a SRTIf it was good enough for Eugene Smith it sure is good enough for you and me 😅) Cheers-
Great video once again! That’s so cool what you did for the film community on Twitter. Some good karma headed your way with more camera finds I’m sure.
4:56 That F1 is either the original 1971 model or the updated 1976 version known as the ‘N or New’ variant. I shot with all 3 models in the late 70 thru the mid 80s, a truly great rig and a tank. Hell, you can still find functioning F1AEs (the last model) $200-$500, depending on the condition. Congrats on snagging a ‘Lake Placid’ F1, those are rare cameras, issued just before the new replacement model was launched.
it’s the F1 “old” and you can tell from the self timer on the right hand side of it. I would love an F1n as well but lord knows I don’t need anymore slrs around here 😂
Hey. Your video just came up in my feed. You are lucky people giving you free cameras or $60 for a sleeve of 5. I had similiar luck when I did online promotions for a monthly camera show . So I would get film and cameras in return. One of the vendors had a $5 table and sometime a $2.50 table. Thrift stores as well.
Man, bummed I missed the original batch of film cameras. Been wanting to get back into film (been since high school in the 90’s) and just haven’t made the jump. What a find… I’m always searching at my local thrift stores and never find anything.
This is so unbelievably sick! Major props to selling these at such low costs for other ppl to get into the film game. Even if they need CLA's, $50 to get into good cameras like these is a low barrier. Any chance you're interested in selling the Nikon F?
Hi there! I'm a student in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, and I do photo sessions here and in Kyiv, where I often go for portrait sessions with my friends. It started as a hobby, but over the last few months, I’ve been trying to monetize it. It’s challenging to work with film photography here-not just because of the war, but also due to the lack of film cameras on the market. Since I began exploring film, I’ve mostly been watching US film photography channels to learn something new. In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been searching for Nikon F series cameras on eBay, specifically the F3 and F4/5 models. I don’t have enough money to switch from my beloved Spotmatic, which is great for hobby work but not quite enough for the commercial sessions I aspire to do. It would be an incredible experience to get a camera from your hands, and a fantastic opportunity for me as a beginning film photographer!
