Soooo, where is the mastermind strategy by Reeves in this game? I didn't see any genius strategy. I saw some real bonkers defense by Indiana. This was an absurd video. Every team can be beat on a given night. Reeves did nothing different in this game. Indiana got beat, that happens.
Indiana beat themselves with turnovers, fouls (sending Lynx to foul line) and lower 3 pt. % than Lynx. Lexie Hull fouls out and replaced by Samuelson, which is never a good thing. Lynx thought OMG, we're open for every 3 pt. shot. It's too good to be true!
Exactly, you can't expect a team to win 80,50,40,30,20,10, consecutive games, even if they are the best, only idxxxs think that way. There are also off nights. Opponents don't just stand around, they play hard too, improve their games. Some stupid fans just think that when a team strings few consecutive games, they will go to the finals easily.
I dont want to say this but... Lynx got lucky with their 3pt shots... Thats just it...

Side's rotations in the third quarter was what killed them. The refs were clearly biased towards the Lynx. Lynx should have had many more fouls called against them.

The 3rd quarter was also the fact that Reeves OUTCOACHED Sides. Caitlin Clark did great and Reeves cannot outsmart Caitlin Clark. Reeves outsmarted Christie Sides and that is how the Lynx overtook and seoarate itself from Indiana Fever.

Sides is playing the wrong 5. Starting 5 should be Boston, Fagbenle, Clark, Mitchell and Hull. If you have to sub in a forward, it should be Dantas first. She's a little slow, but, she is big, knows how to position, pass and shoot. She's ok. If your subbing in Smith or Samuelson it just means you have decided to lose more. There is some younger people on bench I've never seen on the cour

Problem is the coach did not call time out to regroup the fever. It is obvious in the late 2nd qtr is Clark is showing frustrated in her team meate slow to react on her passing, orif they are cant make the ball counted. It wa a warning sing that clark is not normal playing as she is pressuring herself to level up. It is proper that Side should have called time out in the 3rd qtr when Lynx was on the run

Super coaching by Sides not Reeve! Keep playing while THEY are on a run. Persist with Smith who has lost the shooting form displayed recently. Allow a couple of players to revert to their old selfish tactics without criticism etc. etc. In other words sets the rotations and time outs that benefit the opposition. You cannot do that against a top team.

Will Cheryl Reeves is a first class A1 pro coach she has proven that where has Christie has never proven herself and she is a high school coach if it was not for Caitlin she would have another very bad losing record this year....
The Fever left the Lynx wide open hoping they would miss outside shots and packed the paint..bad gamble . turnovers and fouls just piled up as well..do better next game

She had a good game not her best but any player getting 28-8-8 would consider it a good night. It's just not up to Caitlins own high standard so of course she was disappointed they lost.

Coach Sides refused to call a time out during the Lynx 3rd qtr run that had her players on the ropes! She can't read momentum shifts and she is more of a chearleader than a coach in my opinion. The Fever are young and extremely dangerous and they can beat any WNBA team despite Sides on their sidelines. This coach is not the right fit for this team and she has cost them more than a few wins. Hull should have been on Collier and Mitchell can stay with PG Williams. I am confident that the Fever can beat the Lynx in a playoff series. finally, coach Sides and the GM should be removed at the conclusion of this season. Sides can't coach Clark and the GM has failed to re-sign Mitchell.

The difference maker that no one is talking about is the performance of the benches. The FEVER bench scored 10 points for the entire game, while the Lynx bench scored around 25 to 28 points.... that's insanely unacceptable. Also, the Fever had too many missed shots (bricks), no fire or sense of urgency. They looked lost and confused, no hustle, they looked tired and unmotivated, underachieving, way too many turn overs and not enough take aways, too sloppy and soft, defense was non-existent, they applied little pressure, they just looked out of sink with each other. They need a better coach and game planning. They need players on the team that compliment CC22. They need to be more aggressive and focused and hungry. The bench is terrible and needs replacing.... CC22 can't be the only work horse that always has to carry the team and be pressured to do more than anyone else in order to achieve victory. Come on Fever, tighten up, and get focused and hungry, going into the home stretch! CC22, the G.O.A.T., go full-on BEAST MODE!!!!!
