Unless this 4.2 has low compression,excessive blow by or engine knock you are wasting your money and time using that stuff. If the truck fires right up as it should,and there are no issues just put normal conventional oil in it,and change it every 3k miles. I have a 03 f150 with the 4.2L and it has 237,000 very hard miles. These engine are built well,and will last a very long time. Keep up on the coolant flushes,and that one looks like a late 90's 4.2 so the upper and lower intake gaskets might cause issues other then that this is a wonderful engine
Also if you have 3.55 rear gear. You can do match shifting going up in the gears to save your clutch. Out of first gear rev to 2k rpm let off gas go to neutral for a quick second then with steady medium pressure go into second gear it will pop right into gear. You can do this at 2k rpm or 2500 rpm for all gears going up. It saves big time on the clutch
Nick the stp gold filter is a better filter and stp full synthetic would do better to keep the engine cooler and cleaner plus better protection just throwing that out their 😊
