Good day Mr wiz, my father gave me 2 rockford fosgate amplifiers the 55a2 and a 500a2 they are amazing amps, however my problem is that he lost the metal cap that normally cover the terminal and I am have a hard time to get them because I live in Jamaica. Do you have a link on how to get those caps?
I have a Rockford Fosgate t-1000-1bd not the bcdp model, and I've pushed it full tilt for over 8 years at 1 ohms running 2 p3 12" subs and it has never given me any issues. It is an absolute powerhouse of an amp and has never overheated. It's gotten really hot but never has gone into thermal protect mode ever. Truly na amazing amplifier
Fosgates expensive and people always say “you’re just paying for a name” I just tell them to listen to my mids and highs that my t400-4 is driving and their opinions always change
My first "good" amp I ever had was a punch 550.2. I was blown away by the difference of 600 watts rms compared to the 150 watts rms i was getting from my "1000 watt max" lanzer max.

Had this amp for over 2 years now. Running 2 first gen 12in punch hx2s. Had the subs for about 16 years now and they've never sounded louder! Never gets hot at 1ohm. Hours of play at a time! Building a custom enclosure soon.

I picked one of these bad boys up to power my RE Audio 15xx. Love that they come certified from the manufacturer. My specific specimen hit 1924watts @ 1ohm. I've smelled the burn on a couple punishing tracks.

You cant go wrong going with RF and JL Audio amplifiers. I have a RF T1500-bdcp pushing 12w7 in a spec ported box. Also, JL Audio XD 800/8v2 pushing a 3 way Hertz Millie Pro components, RF T2 tweeters and 2 way RE Audio XXX 6.5. components. They sound awesome.

I'm running this amp with my 2 15s at 2 ohms and it goes off by far the best amp I have ever owned and have had it over 10 yrs now and wouldn't trade it for the world its birth certificate says it's rated at 1,960 watts
In parallel if your subs are dual voice coils take a jumper from 1 positive to 1 negative on 1 sub and that will leave you 1 positive and negative do the same on the other sub and that will leave you just 2 positives and 2 negatives and just hook the positives together and the 2 negatives together and run the 2 wires to the amp and if that sounds confusing just look up how to wire subs on here if that is easier homie
Have a rockford fosgate p325.2 bridgable amp. Running a single 10 " sub. Bought this 13 years ago and still bangin im my single cab. Can testify. These amps are full of power and bullet proof. This amp has blown 2 subs over the years but she keeps doing the damn thang so shes gonna ride with me till the wheels fall off
My friend has one of these and he borrowed my kicker L7's (10's) and man. I've never heard them slap so hard, this amp is no joke. He's getting some Memphis M6 subs to compliment the new amp.

Ive shared this with you before..but a younger version of myself bought a Rockford Fosgate Power 800a.4 back in 1999 and installed in my Honda Accord..i later relocated it to my '01 truck..where it still sits ..and still works about like it did from day 1...nearly 20 years out of an amp..yeah it cost a few sheckles more than some of the competition..I think i paid ~ $670 back then..so $36 a year :-)...so happy with it i bought the T10004.ad for my new install.
Rockford Fosgate is my go to brand for amps. Great power for the money. Almost every brand has a low and high line. However, Rockford’s high line starts around JL’s low line. Plus, they look good.
Top of the game? Yes! But man, they make you pay out the nose for it. This thing is the Rolex of 1500 watt amps. Luxurious and Very nice, but you can do the same job for a whole lot less money.
I must say the Prime series of amps are very good price to performance ratio.. I would rather spend a few extra $$ on a RF rather than anything else out of China or Thailand

Rockford is bad ass. One of my cars I barely drive is a 2005 Buick Park Ave. I decided last weekend to put two Kicker 15 CVR's I had laying around I forgot I had this T1500 I only tested it years back and didn't use it. I finally hooked it up to the two 15 CVR's with a Rockford R2 300X 4 ch. Hitting really hard.
Hey D! Great test. This imo is hands down the best sounding class d amp I’ve heard & the only I’d ever use. I didn’t read all the comments but when I bought my 1500bdcp from a local shop it had the rem bass control in the box under the amp in the plastic bag. Maybe it’s just me, but the sound out of the 1500 seems better than the 2500. I was wondering if you’d like to test my 1000-4 class A/B from 2009. I’d like to see how it compares to the older 1000c. Let me know, thanks for another great video. P.S.This amp ran the heck out of American bass HD’s with no problem, well worth the money IMO.
Great video I got this amp and holy smokes. The bass knob is not a regular style bass knob it dowsnt turn your bass down but is a bass boot so when older songs without bass comes on you can bring the bass out of them by turning up the knob
I had my subwoofers hooked up to a 10000bd punch I believe and even that was pretty intense for my 12 and I didn't even have the gain up all the way as well but when I put the 1500 BD consistent power amp you can feel you can hear the difference yes the 1,500bd cp is more powerful than a 1000bd power. But the consistent power makes a difference and that amp is cleaner than the 1000 BD just saying
My buddy has this amp. It is great and i love the technology in it where it stabilizes the power so it keeps loss from impedance rise to a minimum. But....the price tag is extreme. So my question is...are there any more affordable amps in the 1800 to 2000rms range that are comparable with similar technology and sq but at a cheaper price??
Fun fact: Rockford Fosgate stereos are a factory option on many Mitsubishi vehicles (and probably the best OEM stereo system I've ever heard). I almost bought a Lancer about 10 years ago just because the factory RF stereo sounded so good.
I have this amp pushing 2 12w6v3 subs ported and I have to turn the speaker level setting on my pioneer hu to negative 13 because the subs overpower my highs and mids. I have morel tempo ultra component set. This amp is powerful as hell
Yes, but these tests are using test tones, not music. A good average is 1/2 of what I show for current consumption should be available for loud music playback (100 amperes). With an amp like this a minimum of an extra battery is required.

Do you think a 220 amp alternator would be enough with a big 3 upgrade?..
Loved this amp but hated how hot it got even when just idling. Had to get rid of it because I wasn't too comfortable with those temps where I installed it.

I ran a 0 gauge battery wire into this 1500 watt fosgate, that thing was a total beast, my best amp ever to this day, to bad someone stole the car 2 years later. Bet the chumps they never got the full potential
@jefferyglover4295 ran it from the battery with a fuse block attached for protection, (it never popped though) straight to the amp itself, just make sure that you have a decent alternator and it will beat the hell out of trunk!! Good luck my dude 🙏
They r nice amps, had a 1000-1bd for years, prolly 10, still rocking in my nephews car! Paid 799 Canadian for it, hell of a deal back in the day! Ran a pair of alpine type r 15s @1ohm mono, worked very well
I don't see any links to tests of the other amps. That CP tech is really cool. But, it is designed to run your speakers as hard as it can, which can blow speakers. It requires a little extra tuning.

Hey D! I was wondering if that was a used or refurbed amp because when I purchased my 1500bdcp’s each came with the remote bass knob. Another thing... imo this is hands down the best sounding class D amp out there, and I’m not a class D fan. But especially in the RMS, dynamic power & SQ combined these amps really crush it compared to most if not all. Hope all is well!
I know this video is a bit dated but I was wondering if you would test a T1500.1 bdcp at 16 volt my manual says it can run at 16 volts also curious why amps are rated at 40hz my fosgate birthsheet shows over 1500 watts at 20hz

Great video! I am currently running an Alpine PDX-M12 (1200 watts RMS 2-4 ohms) to a JL Audio 12W7. If I was going to upgrade it would be amp. I still have a RF Punch P500X1BD and it slams the heck out of my 12" RF P3. I will buy this amp first before JLAudio 1200/1v3, which cost almost $400 more.
I have a fosgate T500bd1 power amp. 1 svc kicker comp 12 n 1 planet audio dvc 12. What's the best way to hook them up together for the best bass. Currently the dvc is wired to 2 ohm and the kicker is wired to it regular, which runs to amp... connected to both A&B... both neg. N both pos. Ran together. So I have a jumper on the amp... A n B pos.... and A n B neg.... ran to the dvc.... connected to svc in 1 audio pipe box... not ported.
I've got a full Rockford system t1 subs and t1 amp and i can honestly say i am gonna rip their crap out of my truck and im going to rebuild it with a street set up and can guarantee my street setup will be 50 times better then their over priced garbage. massive audio xl and sundown here i come. by the way great videos ive actually watched quite a few of your amp test and your videos is actually helping me decide what my street setup will be thanks man👍🏽👍🏽

How do you have your 2 subs ran from the speaker box to the amp? I'm confused on this 4 output on a mono block amp.
The booklet says it's internally in parallel mode on the inside the amp and I was just wondering how do I hook my 2 subs up like you did Boss.

Ive shared this with you before..but a younger version of myself bought a Rockford Fosgate Power 800a.4 back in 1999 and installed in my Honda Accord..i later relocated it to my '01 truck..where it still sits ..and still works about like it did from day 1...nearly 20 years out of an amp..yeah it cost a few sheckles more than some of the competition..I think i paid ~ $670 back then..so $36 a year :-)...so happy with it i bought the T10004.ad for my new install.
Rockford Fosgate is my go to brand for amps. Great power for the money. Almost every brand has a low and high line. However, Rockford’s high line starts around JL’s low line. Plus, they look good.
RF has always been on top of the game for amplifier technology.
Top of the game? Yes! But man, they make you pay out the nose for it. This thing is the Rolex of 1500 watt amps. Luxurious and Very nice, but you can do the same job for a whole lot less money.
I must say the Prime series of amps are very good price to performance ratio..
I would rather spend a few extra $$ on a RF rather than anything else out of China or Thailand

This goes to show, Rockford still builds great products. (I know this video is older but nothing has changed with Rockford's quality). I have heard only old people like Rockford. Well guess I'm old then bcuz I still like Rockford.
I had a T-1000.1 1ohm stable pushing an 18 inch power hx2 for the longest had an coil issue gonna have sub built even better

I have, just didn't think about Brazilian amps since I'm out right not interested in them. But that is correct they use even less components for that amount of wattage.

Yo Big! So I was looking at this amp to go with the RF P3 loaded enclosure stock wired to 1ohm but after seeing this IDK.... think it's too much power for those subs? 2400w max but with these amp numbers.... help? Thanks!
I've yet to own a Rockford Fosgate amp. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one after seeing all these dyno test.
Best to run it 2 Ohm min. and not below. 4 Ohm is pretty good performance. 2-4 Ohm has better amp control over the sub movement.

Rockford is bad ass. Woofers could use some work, but their amps are the best hands down in my opinion.

Thanks for the tech tutorial at the beginning I was not aware of that type of power supply. I've never been an RF guy but there's no arguing with the quality of their products. That black finish and honeycomb heatsink is great to look at too

One of my cars I barely drive is a 2005 Buick Park Ave. I decided last weekend to put two Kicker 15 CVR's I had laying around I forgot I had this T1500 I only tested it years back and didn't use it. I finally hooked it up to the two 15 CVR's with a Rockford R2 300X 4 ch. Hitting really hard.

Hey D! Great test. This imo is hands down the best sounding class d amp I’ve heard & the only I’d ever use. I didn’t read all the comments but when I bought my 1500bdcp from a local shop it had the rem bass control in the box under the amp in the plastic bag. Maybe it’s just me, but the sound out of the 1500 seems better than the 2500. I was wondering if you’d like to test my 1000-4 class A/B from 2009. I’d like to see how it compares to the older 1000c. Let me know, thanks for another great video.
P.S.This amp ran the heck out of American bass HD’s with no problem, well worth the money IMO.
Great video I got this amp and holy smokes. The bass knob is not a regular style bass knob it dowsnt turn your bass down but is a bass boot so when older songs without bass comes on you can bring the bass out of them by turning up the knob

I had my subwoofers hooked up to a 10000bd punch I believe and even that was pretty intense for my 12 and I didn't even have the gain up all the way as well but when I put the 1500 BD consistent power amp you can feel you can hear the difference yes the 1,500bd cp is more powerful than a 1000bd power. But the consistent power makes a difference and that amp is cleaner than the 1000 BD just saying
My buddy has this amp. It is great and i love the technology in it where it stabilizes the power so it keeps loss from impedance rise to a minimum. But....the price tag is extreme. So my question is...are there any more affordable amps in the 1800 to 2000rms range that are comparable with similar technology and sq but at a cheaper price??

Fun fact: Rockford Fosgate stereos are a factory option on many Mitsubishi vehicles (and probably the best OEM stereo system I've ever heard). I almost bought a Lancer about 10 years ago just because the factory RF stereo sounded so good.
It’s true but the upgrades factory systems are in most cases nowhere near as good as a decent upgrade using quality components.
Good old Rockford Fosgate...proof of the old adage that you get what you pay for. They never disappoint, only perform.
I have this amp pushing 2 12w6v3 subs ported and I have to turn the speaker level setting on my pioneer hu to negative 13 because the subs overpower my highs and mids. I have morel tempo ultra component set. This amp is powerful as hell

Yes, but these tests are using test tones, not music. A good average is 1/2 of what I show for current consumption should be available for loud music playback (100 amperes). With an amp like this a minimum of an extra battery is required.

I have a Rockford T1500 bd for my P3 12s and a P600x4 for my mids and highs the p600x4 has 771 rms and the t1500 has 1899 rms and I also have the sony stereo with the built in 160rms 4 channel amp.
Do you think a 220 amp alternator would be enough with a big 3 upgrade?..

I ran this at 4 ohms forever with a 120a fuse no problem but soon as i switched to 1 ohm it blew in 3 mins

I ran a 0 gauge battery wire into this 1500 watt fosgate, that thing was a total beast, my best amp ever to this day, to bad someone stole the car 2 years later. Bet the chumps they never got the full potential
So you can run a 0 gauge to this 1500bdcp? How did you do it Boss?
@jefferyglover4295 ran it from the battery with a fuse block attached for protection, (it never popped though) straight to the amp itself, just make sure that you have a decent alternator and it will beat the hell out of trunk!! Good luck my dude 🙏

They r nice amps, had a 1000-1bd for years, prolly 10, still rocking in my nephews car! Paid 799 Canadian for it, hell of a deal back in the day! Ran a pair of alpine type r 15s @1ohm mono, worked very well

That CP tech is really cool. But, it is designed to run your speakers as hard as it can, which can blow speakers. It requires a little extra tuning.

Hey D! I was wondering if that was a used or refurbed amp because when I purchased my 1500bdcp’s each came with the remote bass knob. Another thing... imo this is hands down the best sounding class D amp out there, and I’m not a class D fan. But especially in the RMS, dynamic power & SQ combined these amps really crush it compared to most if not all. Hope all is well!

I know this video is a bit dated but I was wondering if you would test a T1500.1 bdcp at 16 volt my manual says it can run at 16 volts also curious why amps are rated at 40hz my fosgate birthsheet shows over 1500 watts at 20hz

I am currently running an Alpine PDX-M12 (1200 watts RMS 2-4 ohms) to a JL Audio 12W7. If I was going to upgrade it would be amp.
I still have a RF Punch P500X1BD and it slams the heck out of my 12" RF P3.
I will buy this amp first before JLAudio 1200/1v3, which cost almost $400 more.
I have a fosgate T500bd1 power amp. 1 svc kicker comp 12 n 1 planet audio dvc 12. What's the best way to hook them up together for the best bass. Currently the dvc is wired to 2 ohm and the kicker is wired to it regular, which runs to amp... connected to both A&B... both neg. N both pos. Ran together. So I have a jumper on the amp... A n B pos.... and A n B neg.... ran to the dvc.... connected to svc in 1 audio pipe box... not ported.
And it hits pretty hard, just wondering if I have it right???
I wish somebody would start a channel doing these power output test on subs in a real world situation to see what they do with impedance rise.

I've got a full Rockford system t1 subs and t1 amp and i can honestly say i am gonna rip their crap out of my truck and im going to rebuild it with a street set up and can guarantee my street setup will be 50 times better then their over priced garbage. massive audio xl and sundown here i come. by the way great videos ive actually watched quite a few of your amp test and your videos is actually helping me decide what my street setup will be thanks man👍🏽👍🏽
@John Cox lol technology has came far buddy sundown makes a 9x9 amp and is putting out 3 times more power then that Rockford you've got and guarantee draws low voltage. sundown fbs 3000 look it up you might change your mind about rockcrap.
