Thanks for the video - would it be fair to say that although Mobilvettas are beautifully designed a few corners have been cut on some of driving components compared to the German manufacturers? I’m stunned that there were such fundamental issues with things like the chassis, the suspension, and the spare wheel. It’s impressive that you had the ability to correct many of these issues but on such a new and expensive motor home you shouldn’t really have to - and most including myself wouldn’t have the ability to do so.
Glad you liked the video. The chassis problem were for earlier models which Mobilvetta have since resolved and we had it rectified under warranty so happy with that now. I believe spare wheel is not fitted to most motorhomes to keep the weight down for selling purposes and our friends who have a German burstner have also had to add their own spare wheel. The air suspension we added to the rear was so that we could upgrade payload but it did also improve ride. Again our friends with burstner have done theirs since to increase payload. There are probably issues with every make and pros and cons for all. We have been away touring considerably in the last 6 months with only the odd screw coming loose so at the moment we are loving the Mobilvetta. We will be doing some further mods in the next few months though.
Very good vid, we bought a K yacht 80 last year from new. We love it , air suspension is on the list , for handling and to stabilise it when parked. Ours is 4.4tonn rated, would you go for a full air bag system or stick with the part system ? I find the steering very light on small bouncy country roads.
I agree - you should offer pros and cons of this van - we are seriously looking at buying one and your video has been a great help but are there any other issues experienced with these models ?
We love our van and have obviously added extras to make it work for us as you would with all motorhomers. Our issues with our Mobilvetta have been water ingress in side window, water ingress via the diesel fuel cap which entered the fuse box, dometic oven not working properly, screw loose on wardrobe door, chassis support strut, alloy wheels snailing . These have all been rectified under warranty. I believe other models - not the 85 - may have issue with the electric beds. These are pretty new on our market here but look better than other models for our needs and budget. Enjoyed seeing you with your dogs too because we will also be sharing the van with our spaniel too- full of energy! Cheers - have fun over there

@@Doggonemotorhomeadventures Hi Guys- FYI we have now taken possession of our new K79 and have gained massive amounts of good info from the UK owners club - just had our first trip away, along with our Cocker Spaniel. thanks for the assistance
Hello, I’m currently looking at a 2018 k yacht 80 and concerned about the chassis plate defect you highlighted. Can you tell me if it is an official safety recall that Mobilvetta are responsible for correcting or is it a modification that owners can make out of there own concern? btw great vid 👍
Hi unfortunately it’s not an official safety recall (!!) I know some have had it completed by themselves and others where actually cracked have had it done under warranty. Not all need it doing either but if it looks like ours in the video it will probably need doing. There is a good Facebook group Mobilvetta k yacht motorhomes uk owners group - plenty of info on there and others have undertaken the modification We have now had ours done under warranty
There is a kit that can go on the wiper arms - we haven’t gone around to this yet by totally agree they are not brilliant. Headlight bulbs can be done aswell but we try not to drive in the dark as not only are the headlights poor but there is also a glare across the windscreen when cars are oncoming. The little foibles we put up with
