I was in the metal scene in the 80s and this is so well observed, I knew guys like these - I was one. Absolutely hilarious.
Greatest line ever “It says sausages up there, no sausage
The argument about the bands’ genre is just so so typical of so many bands. Observational comedy gold.😂
Can I have half a sausage for a quid 😂😂
REST IN PEACE RICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We’re heavy metal, okay??!!! Just like your fucking brain!!! One of my favourite lines.
"i mean we're the only band i know that can play a 13 bar boogie... i mean we'd be as rich as the stones if we sold as many records as them."
When I first saw this on TV back in the 80s they actually blanked out Den's swear words after the van broke down. I think that made it funnier. 😁 It also gave added context to Vim's observations about how the documentary crew "interfere with the way we talk and not interfere when the van's broken down."
0:49 "Hatfield and The North" iconic sign. 70s band.
yeah we're subtle but basically we're heavy metal. been looking for that quote
This cast is amazing.
8:00 The introduction to AFI's song "Don't make me ill"
If someone it's a sick bastard like me and was searching for that =)
Cheers!
Thank you.. I've wanted to see where that sample came from for about 2 decades now and I finally found it today
Same here I always wondering where that conversation came from !! What about this secret ninja ??
Haha me too. I loved AFI! Got to see them a handful of times in NYC. never got to play with them though.
The hero we needed
They pick up a school girl and nobody bats an eyelid..😂
It was old school pedo-ing, before it got such a bad name.
It's COMEDY! get over yourself.
It was a reference to certain bands like led zeppelin
Nigel Planner is hilarious
Planer …
I wish you could get sausage beans and chips for 2 quid and 5 pence nowadays
You can at Scrotes Cafe, South of the South Circular.
It clearly stated sausage*s*.
One of them was so posh he had become a bank manager after the first split so needed to wear a long wig for the band reuinion as he had to have his hair short for work. He woke up in the morning & said "Well it's another heavy metal day."
@Midori165 Ahhh...
Still trying to find "The Motorbike Song" aka "Doing A Ton Down The Highway" This one's really been burning my ass. Can't seem to find much on it anywhere. The complete or even a partial version isn't available commercially, (to my knowledge). If anything it's probably on a DAT buried somewhere in Ade Edmondson's or Rick Mayall's underwear drawer sadly never to see the light of day.
Any info you might have on it would be much appreciated.
I refuse to be fillumed! 😂
I'm getting out here if we're anything to do with the New Romantics!
Heavy Denver 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wheres me other sausage then ??
Anyone know the title of the song that kicks off @ 0:28?
I can't seem to find it anywhere.
It’s called Motorbike by Bad News
More modern than futuristic, says a film from the early 80s.
6:45 is sooo "VYV"
@Midori165: You might want to look at a more recent shot of Minelli.
If I woke up with Jen I wouldn't necessarily feel like chewing my arm off at the shoulder.
Why did you Overdub my Bass? Cos' it was Shit!
i know ha
Its said this is in 83 when the other says 88. I dont understand it.
83: Bad News. 1st show
88: More Bad News. 2nd show
Does this country even exist anymore?
In fact they're more hard rock than heavy metal! In the AC/DC mould ☺️
Did anyone say ‘Spinal Tap’?
This was out before Spinal Tap.
@@beefcheeks9353 Yes, and no doubt drew on the Comic Strip’s efforts.
No because this was made a year earlier and they probably hadn't even filmed Spinal Tap.
