    I just wanted to hear it strum. I can hear leads all day long from other channels but to see how this fairs as an accoustic, I need to see it doing acoustic rythm which wasn't the main focus of this player.

    I've watched many of these Donner videos but not pone show you how to use the tuner. A tuner on a headless stock...so where do you put the tuner?

    I would have liked to hear how quiet it was as an acoustic, which is the whole purpose of it I thought.

    • @MyMusicMasterclass
      @MyMusicMasterclass  21 день тому

      @@davidhamer8333 The purpose of this guitar is to be incredibly portable, which it is. You can use headphones with it, making it even more convenient when traveling or playing quietly. If you have a solid body electric guitar, play it without amplification. That's what this will sound like "acoustic".

    first of all, thank you for the video. The guitar sounds very interesting. I'm not interested in having a perfect sound, but I am interested in the instrument being smooth under my fingers. Travel guitars are often fine when I play chords on them, but when I play a musical phrase or a solo the strings feel like they are made of dough. But here it seems to respond well, or does it? Do you think it's possible to play it standing up, or is the guitar too light and you can't control it? Cheers and thanks again for the video!

    • @MyMusicMasterclass
      @MyMusicMasterclass  Рік тому +5

      The guitar feels very normal in terms of string tension, etc. So, it doesn't feel rubbery or flimsy. As for standing up, it has strap buttons, so you could definitely do it. I have only played with it sitting, but that's because I'm lazy :)

    honest. I was about buying it then read several reviews, this buddy sucks. High actions is also an issue, and the fact that there is only a piezo, no pup installed. You lose ur mood to play when hearing its meh sound.

      It does just fine. The neck is normal and can do whatever a regular guitar can do. The only difference is that the tuners are on the bottom.

    Without a headstock, where do you clip the tuner on it?

    • @MyMusicMasterclass

      There's a small metal piece at the end of the neck that will hold the tuner.

  • @Yooper05

    I bought this guitar with a VOX classic external amp. Garbage, I can't get the amp to work. I can't tune the guitar because I can't get enough noise out for the tuner to pick it up. I am new to playing so I'm not good and just tuning with my ears. This is sad and just a paperweight to me now. I don't know if the amp is trash, or if the output of the guitar is broken. I don't have another amp to try, and I'm not willing to spend any more money on this.
    The concept of the guitar is great, I wish I could use it.

    • @MyMusicMasterclass
      @MyMusicMasterclass  8 місяців тому

      Before you label an instrument "Garbage", make sure to understand what's really going on. For instance, did you check the 9V battery compartment on the back of the guitar? Replace it or put one in if you forgot this step. Also check your guitar cable. As for the amp, I'm not sure what model you have, but does it take a battery too? If so, put one in. The tuner needs a battery too. Basically make sure to read the manuals if you're a beginner. Or return everything if you prefer.

    • @Yooper05
      @Yooper05 8 місяців тому

      I have replaced the batteries on all components.
      It’s a VOX amp.
      Yeah, it’s not garbage, it’s actually a cool little thing I was looking forward to playing with. It’s just frustrating that it isn’t working.

    since it has builtin preamp, do i need an actual acoustic amp to play it? Or can i connect it to the speaker and it's ok ?

    • @MyMusicMasterclass
      @MyMusicMasterclass  Рік тому +2

      You can listen with headphones directly from the guitar or you can connect it to an amp. It has a preamp, but not a power amp. So, unless you have a powered speaker, those are your options.

    • @dzungpham
      @dzungpham Рік тому

      @@MyMusicMasterclass thank man. It would be better if it has power amp built in. Its more suitable for travelling guitar

    • @MyMusicMasterclass
      @MyMusicMasterclass  Рік тому

      There are no guitars on the market with built-in power amps due to it adding so much weight, etc. Also, having a power amp on board could cause other big issues if connected to the wrong type of speaker. That being said, you could easily connect this to a portable audio speaker if you want or pair it with a Donner Cyclops or other tiny practice amp, etc.

    • @dzungpham
      @dzungpham Рік тому

      @@MyMusicMasterclass the enya guitar they can put a speaker on it and play alone unplugged. I dont think thats hard to do put power amp on this one

    • @jeffbosch1697
      @jeffbosch1697 11 місяців тому

      @@dzungphamThe battery and circuitry for a power amp would add significantly to the weight and they'd have to redesign the body to accommodate those. At that point it would be a different guitar. I think the main reason they designed this is for silent playing at home or when travelling.

      Weird Al Yankovic! Seriously though, this is a practice guitar not intended for the stage, so I'm not sure why you're so hung up about "hooking up" while practing scales. If you're trying to "get laid" while practing in your bedroom, you won't be getting much better at guitar :)
