Imagine a new kind of musical instrument ... This is GeoShred, an award-winning, fluidly expressive musical instrument that runs on multi-touch devices. It has a performance surface with almost magic pitch rounding algorithms, coupled with expressive physics-based models of musical instruments: Guitars, Bowed Strings and Woodwinds
It's a fusion of Jordan Rudess' performance concepts and powerful organic instruments and effects based on the physical modeling research of Dr. Julius O. Smith III of Stanford University's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA). There are over one hundred thousand artists, from more than sixty countries who perform GeoShred, with thirty percent of those artists in India. GeoShred is the gold medal winner of the 2019 Denny Award, a 2019 Guthman New Musical Instrument award, and winner of the 2017 Electronic Musician Editor's choice award as "...one of the most innovative groundbreaking products to emerge in the past 12 months".

It's pretty good. I've just acquired the Pro version. Just playing around with shred guitar, it makes getting guitar riffs easier, if you can't play guitar. I wish I had discovered this sooner. I have a question, does it work with Queno?
I have multiple third party instrument plugins in garageband. Can I use Geoshred to record those instruments?

Note that GarageBand does not have a Virtual MIDI Input port and it does not support Auv3 MIDI processors so you have to use this MIDI flow trick.
Cubais on the other hand is much simpler, you just create an instance of GeoShred as an AUv3 MIDI processor and route it to the plugin.
Is there not a trial version? (checked on iPhone)
No. There is GeoShred Play which is a reduced cost version of GeoShred. A GeoShred Preset Player, no MIDI, no AU3. We sometimes make it free. We will probably do a free promotion in 2023
Will it work on an iPad 2? (maybe a use for an old device)
We are discontinuing support for iPad 2 in the next release. Also the GeoSWAM models require at least iOS 11.4 and because iPad 2 can't go further than iOS 9.3 it's not possible for them to run.
@@GeoShred So would it be worthwhile getting GeoShred at the current release, on an iPad 2, even without updates? In other words, it sounds like an idea to revive an iPad 2 that's lying around.
@@calembur I don't think so. You won't be able to run any of the GeoSWAM instruments or the new Naada Instruments coming out because they arll require a minimum of iOS 11.4.
If I take a subscription for Geoshred, would it run for life time or annual?
It's not a subscription. Its a purchase, with in-app-purchases for the GeoSWAM and soon Naada Instruments.

@@parthasarathipanda8504 You would need to purchase GeoShred, and then an In-App-Purchase for one of the GeoSWAM Flutes. Again it's not a subscription its a purchase.
Hi will this work in BeatMaker 3
Yes I just tried loading the GeoShred AUv3 plugin in the latest BeatMaker 3 and it works just fine.
@WahidulHudaDalton What you want to do is put your personal presets in a setlist. The Setlist Editor is found under "Menu> Setlist".

Is it a midi controller ?
GeoShred is an integrated performance surface and Physics based synthesizer. GeoShred is also a powerful MIDI/MPE controller.

What presets does GeoShred come with by default?
GeoShred Pro and Play contain all the the presets based on the guitar pluck model. GeoShred Pro, GeoShred Play+Pro and GeoShred Control+Pro include the Pro features of: Preset Editing, MIDI, Auv3 Plugin, and iCloud Support.
Note that all presets are based on physics modeling and are NOT samples. There are currently 214 presets based on the guitar pluck model including:

Steel Dobro Acoustic
Classical Acoustic

Mahesh Raghvan's Xitar presets

It's too expensive... app itself costs around 3k and then almost 3k per instrument or 14k for the bundle highlighted here.... all in all 20k for a app, agreed it has great reviews but it's not for the aspiring musician
How many geoshred I have to purchase... Is in one app I will able to access all instrument or I have to spend money everytime... I want that indian boy using sound...

@@SubhraUltimate What did you purchase? The upgrade from Control to Control +Pro or Pro? What do you mean, you can't use Control? Why don't you reach out to us directly by email support@moforte.com, I respond to emails usually within an hour, I only check social media once a day.
@@GeoShred I have installed control first then I was not able to use it... Then I don't upgrade... I went to Apstore then geoshred then I made purchase pro.. Costing 2498...thats it

Here is our FAQ about Android. Basically Android is not currently possible due to technical limitations of the platform that would make it unplayable as a musical instrument.
Will GeoShred be available for Android?
GeoShred is only available for iOS devices. The basic reason that GeoShred is not on Android, is that most Android devices don't currently support low latency audio and iOS devices do. If you touch the screen it may be up to a second later before sound comes out, so GeoShred on Android would not be playable as a musical instrument. Google has a solution that is called the Low Latency Audio Path. We are optimistic that in the next year, device manufacturers will begin to adopt this technology, and that it will be possible to have a version of GeoShred that runs on Android devices that support the Low Latency Audio Path.

Without this feature, even a simple touch on the screen could result in a delay of up to one second before any sound is produced, rendering GeoShred unplayable as a musical instrument on Android devices. However, Google offers a solution called the Low Latency Audio Path, and it is hoped that in the next few years, device manufacturers will adopt this technology. This could potentially enable a version of GeoShred that is compatible with Android devices that support the Low Latency Audio Path.
