not really try the push3 + syntakt but you can send midi out of the push to the syntakt and get the audio of the syntakt inside the push3 I think for peak time techno this machine is not good because peak time techno the sound are usually heavy processed and more ''modern'' sounding so not the right machine for that. i thought I mention it in the video but I fogot to say it... Also interested in whatever i can apply from Ableton videos, too Oh, Sketch 4 is fantastic 🔥
That’s sounds like a cool setup, will look a bit more into the digitone 2 as a lot of people mention it too. How do you do with the audio , do you have a hardware mixer or use overbridge ?
@@audioreakt At the moment, I mostly just jam with each device separately on the lounge with a power bank -- depends on how I'm feeling determines which device (mostly the Digitakt 2 at the moment). Straight to overbridge when plugged into the computer.

I recently got the EP-133 and also have a Microfreak, 303, and Circuit laying around so am really wondering how are you connecting all of your gear together? Is it all just being sent into a mixer you have and the to ableton? 🤔
ableton is the master clock, then I sync with usb mainly, or midi with the er-m for the gear that doesn't have usb. Then for audio I have the RME UFXIII which got plenty of input and get everything in ableton, i even got a ferrofish pulse 16 that get me an extra 16 I/O with adat
@ yeah we all do! Ha That said I sold my push 3 standalone and am thinking of getting the digitone 2 and a used push 2. I’ve had a syntakt and didn’t really gel with it. We will see
Does the digitakt / syntakt work better in an ableton overbridge workflow ? I have the Rytm and I love the coloration from the master overdrive compressor etc but I’m having problems with the workflow of actually getting it into ableton quickly to build the rest of my track there . Seems like you can record the fx separately but the workflow seems a bit clunky .
It works. Sketching a 4-8 bar loop that actually sounds great is an easy (work)flow, importing all separate track to ableton at the same time with overbridge is easy too. The Fx regarding reverb and delay are amazing engines with a lot of tweakability and they just work, however delay and reverb tracks are a separate return channel meaning you have to record both as separate channels into ableton. If you're good with recording the channels without them it's easy in one go, if you want the added rev+delay you'd have to record on the rec+delay channel a take with only the specific track using them is playing. Even if I jam with it in bed I try to keep the internal reverb and delay either only for the tops or synths/mid so that way if I like it I can have it in Ableton in a few loops recorded ready to arrange and process
For me it’s the same, overbridge work the same for rytm and syntakt, but as it’s a master effect you are talking about, you won’t get that master effect apply to your separate output in live, the same way that if you was using the hardware separated output of the rytm. Like said in the comment above, it work the same for the fx, they are on separated track so when you got your individual output in live you loose the reverb except if you get the fx channel too. On the syntakt it’s a bit clunky because you have the fx channel too on top of the delay/reverb channel… But because the delay/reverb in the syntakt are kind of classic I can easily replace them with live one… For you case if you want the master effect on Ableton you gonna have to work with the master track and not the separated output. You can still solo a track in the rytm and record the rytm output in live to get that colour and record all the track individually like this and then play them as loop in Ableton, this way you got each track recorded with the master color. But it also mean the audio is printed… can’t have both
@ ok thank you! yeah this is what I thought, and good to know that switching to syntakt wouldn’t solve this issue . I appreciate you making this video. Do you happen to know if the digitakt is the same as this workflow wise? I’m not sure what kind of master distortion / compression it has on all the separate tracks or if it is more focused on processing each track individually. I think in this case the Syntakt might not be for me since I do like the ability to combine samples with the synth engines on the rytm. But the fact that the master output is such a big part of the sound of the rytm and having to record each track solo to print those effects into ableton if the digitakt is less focused on that it might be easier to integrate into ableton.
Tbh I thought the same, like I knew the drums were great because they are almost the same than the rytm, but then when I started to dig the synth I was surprised
