  • Note: I sold 10 puzzles per hour Saturday. On Sunday with the modified setup, I sold 15 per hour with only about 1/4 the crowd size. I will absolutely rent 2 booths at all events in the future in order to setup in the "U" shape, perimeter style.

Great video Scott. Makes me want to hurry up and get set up. Very inspiring for the novice scroller like myself. Well done mate.👍👍

Great info Scott. Thanks so much. BTW, the switch to poplar seems to have solved the breaking tab problem. Thanks again.

Nice job Scott! One thing to share is, see the fold or "billow" in your front sign on the top front of the booth? I almost missed you Saturday. If it wasn't for the yellow in the sign, I would have walked right by. Another hint is to use magnets front and back to "stick" the sign to the tent and then the same for the unicorn sign in the front.
What a great set up you have! Well organized and neat and tidy.

Thank you. I had noticed the billow as well. That top banner is brand new and thanks for the idea of how to resolve that! It was great to meet you, thanks for hunting me down.

I would like to create some puzzles with the animals' names in them. Is there a resource to help me learn to design them?

Hi, the items you see that I make are all hand drawn by Harvey Byler. He's been drawing them for 20 or 25 years. He's happy to put any name in any of his patterns for $21 each. You can certainly give it a try. I've tried and failed miserably. LOL

And if you're interested in any of Harveys designs, you can go down to the PATTERNS area on my site and purchase them for $3 each with free immediate download. www.woodcraftbyscott.com

Awesome puzzles! I really want to get into the scroll saw art and make some money doing it. What tips do you have for a beginner like me?

Hi Dillan good to hear from you. There are so many things you can make with a scroll saw and potentially make some extra cash. I truly love making and selling these puzzles but don't limit yourself, although these are proven to be good sellers. I've also written a "guide" about getting started selling crafts if you decide you want to pursue it. And be sure to check out all of my other videos if you haven't already. Here is my booklet... www.amazon.com/Turning-Your-Hobby-Into-More-ebook/dp/B079KXGVYH/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1541258489&sr=1-1&dpID=51WilXRdVLL&preST=_SX342_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

@@dillanmatney9958 It's a side business for me. I have a full time job. I could probably do this for a living, but I'd be afraid it would take the enjoyment out of it. I already cut on a regular basis and I do 25-30 arts and crafts events a year. If I had to cut 8 hours a day 5 days a week and then sell on the weekends it would be too much. Feel free to email me at woodcraftbyscott@gmail.com with any questions you have, I'm always happy to provide information when I can.
