That also plays a part but the mimic hitbox is actually bad whereas Alonne has great hitboxes. The mimic grab has a big spherical hitbox around the chest and the legs also have hitboxes.
I've played Ds2 since the originals release countless times, and I still face extreme paranoia whenever waking them up. They'll catch you 3 feet behind them, so I just hit twice and run to the hills and back. I specifically remember the one in Aldia's Keep was a wakeup call
Mimic are actually easier to identify than they seem. Mimics have a lock. The only exception is one chest in the black gulch. The chest has a lock but no mimic
Try it , it is a very good game if you strategise and think before you do most stuff , plus go into it with a clear mindset . A/X is for activating illusionary walls , ADP increases dodge efficiency and caster builds are very viable .
inb4 souls bros who completely miss the point and explain how it’s your fault that the games hit boxes completely did what they shouldn’t do and that you’re bad because you heal
@@MonstertruckBadassAgility 100 is required for a comfortable game. Agility improves adp and wisdom. You can have more than 100 agility, but you can’t have less if you plan to use rolls and healing in battle. Or rather, you can, but it will be more difficult since you won’t have enough I-frames to get through the attacks
My guess is that ds2 mimics are programmed to catch you if you're not in i-frames, even when they were obviously supposed to miss you
Not really, the opening catch is like an attack. With a really massive hitbox 💀
It simply has massive hitbox that linger around the mimic body and hand/leg.
a prime example of "thank you game, I definitely wanted that."
I guess it like an alonne stab scenario where it hits you but where you being hit on the edge of the hitbox makes the animation look jank af.

When I saw where you were I immediately knew what was going to happen
happened to me in Tseldora, the mimic at the camp, I was right behind it and it chomped me right in, oh well

wtf are you talking about
Local man gets mad at imaginary person
I'd assume that the big scary chest monster with teeth would have some kind of scooping motion when it went to bite
Oh my. Is that all the enemies or just mimics in particular?
Depends if you level adp
@@ylawson7873 Guess I'll see then, I only leveled faith/intelligence/attunement so far.
Already got a "funny" pursuer death :)
