Always love Marion's demos. She's a real crafter, willing to be less than perfect, but always producing a beautiful result! She gives me confidence to try anything...
Gorgeous cards, Marion. I may try these colors with using a spruce green over instead of black. I’ll post if I get there. you crack me up talking to yourself while you craft (I know you’re also talking to us). When I talk to myself while crafting, I forget to stop it ehen my husband can hear me and he gets ticked off because he THINKS he’s supposed to answer me. Ha! Ha! 🤣😜😂🤪
Thanks for another great video Marion!! I just bought these stamps from Julie & will give this technique a try. I do remember learning it from Wendie Rhodes years ago when I went to her craft retreat and love the effect. Hope you’re keeping well. Take care Marion. Much love, Ann ❤xxx
Stunning! I have used embossing powders but not very often. This video has inspired me to use embossing powders (and glitter) more often! Thank you 😊 you are a delight to watch ❤
@@sallystapleton4237 😂😂 they should be back in around the 20th 🤞🤞 it is justified as they’re so lovely and the discount code doesn’t finish till the 24th 🙌🙌🥰🥰
Hi. Nice Video. Great technic. Maybe next time when U use those stamping pads: mist them with a little Water. Not totally wet. Just a few drops water. You,ll see quickly the result. Those pads'll do their jobs better than in the dry version. It's just a little tipp. I like the colour and your technic to add the colour onto the cardstock. 👍🏻👍🏻
Just a point. If you stuck the sentiment onto the double sided tape AND THEN added the glitter, it would not only be so much easier, but also save on glitter. You'd also have absolutely no waiting time for glue to dry.
Thank you Marion for another great video and a stunning card. I just love this technique, which is a new one on me, and one which I’m really looking forward to trying out xx
Absolutely fabulous video. Thank you so much for sharing. I think you’re incredibly adorable. I just love the sentence that you said this is me trying to be organized. I thought that was so sweet. It made me laugh. Great video beautiful card.
Hi. Thank you for sharing this lovely video. Very nice background, it brings to mind William Morris type designs. Maybe I should do a few Jacobs Coat cards as they are so effective and I re-inked my Onyx Black padlast night, or rather I over inked it and spent a great deal of this morning clearing up the mess it made after leaking everywhere overnight. 🤭 Thanks again and have a great day.
Did you do a video on the Linds B card? Its very cute, are the zigzags and little lines and dots done in black done by hand after the card is done? Also are the little dots in the background done with a stamp then embossed with silver you love? Great cards. Thank you.
Thank you, no I haven’t done one yet, that was just a card I made and showed. I did all the black by hand and all the background dots are from the stamp set and I used Catherine Pooler Twilight ink. I hope that helps. 🥰🥰🥰
Great demo Marion so effective still building up these techniques I need to have a play with, I love the wow products and have quite a few of the embossing powders and glitters, now you mentioned that you have a shop what is that called please could you give a link to it?
Hi, I use talc if I think my inks may be wet, WOW embossing powders are anti static but they don’t like moisture and if the ink is slightly wet, it will stick … I never edit things out, apart from if I cough, 🙈🙈 I speed things up so as not to bore you too much, I try and keep it as real as possible 🥰🥰🥰 xxx
Thank you for sharing, these are all cool! Is the discount code not valid in the US because it is showing this message that this code is not valid. I tried twice and even cut and pasted it but still says it is not valid. 😞
Thank you, yes the code is valid in the USA for the retail site, you have to put it in at checkout where it asks you for a discount code. I hope that helps xxx
Marion I mailed your card, not the Easter car just a friend card! On March 13th! Please tell me you have gotten that card! I’m just sick! Why aren’t the getting there? Also I noticed you have not ever looked at any of my cards on my IG page. It’s dizzinese. I’d really love for the 3 card makers I follow to look and the 2 I thought were my friends haven’t looked at all. Zsoka either. I’m not confident and it took a lot for me to put them on IG and your truthful comments would truly be appreciated-good or bad. Please come look. It will probably be the same boy way you’ll see the card I made for you! Lol
The mail service in the UK is questionable at times. Don't be surprised if she doesn't get it or anything else you might send. And I know this might sound a little harsh, but many crafters like Marion have THOUSANDS of followers & don't always have the time to interact with each and every individual. Don't take it personally!!! Just understand that they also need down time. They also can be very busy with the other very important aspects of their lives. I think the best way to build your crafting confidence is to continue to create. For instance, I've made 3 cards recently that I was semi proud of. The 4th one was a total flop...a comedy of errors! I knew it was. And yet, I still gave it to my mom who was thrilled to receive it. I also recommended she burn it after she saw it. 🫣😂😂😂 I think seeking validation from other people can be a disappointing route. Some people have very different design tastes. There are some well-known crafters that I have followed for the last at least 20 years. And although I respect the work that they do, it's just not my style. On the flip side, I think asking some of our "celebrity" crafty people, like Marion, their opinion puts them in an awkward position to perhaps encourage you even if it isn't their cup of tea. 🤷 I craft because it makes me happy. I do it because it takes me away from reality for a little bit. I really think crafting is about making us happy... And if it makes somebody else happy, so be it. But if it doesn't, oh well! 😉
Oh Denise I’m sorry they haven’t arrived !! It’s not an excuse but I’m just so busy right now, and I’m hardly going on the socials, I’m not very good at answering the few people I do follow 😢😢😢, even answering all the comments takes me an age. I’ve stopped following people right now as someone keeps trying to get into my account. 🤬🤬 and anyway I’ve seen your cards that you’ve sent in the past and you don’t need to be unconfident ☺️☺️☺️
Thank you, you’re spot on, I wish I did have more time, but I just don’t, in fact I’m doing this whilst visiting with my mum, otherwise I’d never get all these answered. I always try and find the time to do the videos as, what you said, it takes you away from reality and we all need that and I’m grateful that so many people appreciate the work that goes in to a video. ☺️☺️☺️
Hi Carrie, we’re really working on getting them all out there, polished gold must have sold out as it definitely was there. If you’re happy to send an e mail to sales@wowembossingpowder.co.uk they can advise when the polished gold will be back in stock. I hope that helps xxx

I’ve been using embossing powders for around 40 years now Renee and I never get bored of it 🥰🥰🥰
I learned that technique years ago, but never think to do anymore. Your card is beautiful!
Me too, I’m surprised I remembered it 😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Stunning, Marion
