    Interesting shoulder patch at 3:59... Sword and quill, over an open book. Fostering a cadre of soldier-scholars. Russia is behaving as a far-sighted nation, securing its future.

      Its the Russian military sign of scolarship and education...
      The feather Symbols diplomatics and knowledge
      The sword is a symbol of might and warawareness (can i say it like that?
      The Book once refered to the 'holy book' (bible) which marks the Christian Culture :)

    They are not children as you claim, but teenagers.

    • @bboucharde
      @bboucharde 6 років тому +1

      Quentin, This use of "children" is directly from the Neo-Liberal vocabulary, like when they cry about the "DACA Children," who are 20 to 30 years old. France 24 is like NPR, maybe even farther left.

      Anyone under the legal age of adulthood is a child. Teenagers ARE children and the entire world knows this. That is why there is a special court system for juveniles.

    • @tomg4685
      @tomg4685 5 років тому

      Quentin Cumber the UN defines anyone under the age of 18 to be a child. So no, youre wrong.

    • @tomg4685
      @tomg4685 5 років тому

      Quentin Cumber also, when you look up the definition of “child”, tell me what does it say...oh thats right, anyone under the legal age of majority. Teenagers = children.

    In my high school, we had an army junior ROTC program. I don't know whether or not they still have it. But, from the look of it, this Russian cadet class seems similar. It is unfortunate, but not surprising the the young cadet interviewee regards the USA as an enemy of Russia. But US and European provocations of Russia have happened all too often. Incorporating into NATO even former republics of USSR and former allies on Russia's border is a example, as was the Euro move to entice Ukraine away from Russia and into the EU. Conflict with Russia does not serve the national interests,of my country or its people. Only the military industrial complex benefits. Pres Eisenhower warned us. Sen Rand Paul has warned us but we aren't listening.

    I don't understand why this is controversial? In the UK, we have something very similar called AFC Harrogate. I attended it before moving onto the Regular British Army. It was just a year-long version of Basic training with military theory and training as well as daily beasting from PTIs.

    The narrator says that these kids are taught to be patriotic. What's wrong with being patriotic? And in what other way do you want them to teach military cadets?
