If I had to make a bet, I would bet you probably are not buzzing correctly, but in fact are doing the cheating or joke method. The cheating method is where you puff out either the top or lower lip or both. I have had 8th graders cheat and get a double C yet they couldn't play out of the staff on their trumpet

Ummm buzzing to High C? Most pro trumpeters can't do that
