Most of this trailer is old news by now or we've gotten more info in the meantime, but there's still a few points worth discussing for bit: While there's some evidence to suggest that the new guy with the cowboy hat could be Nielsen (Same general face structure, closed eyes that look freaky when opened, Nielsen always appearing in the conclusion games for each arc, etc), I have to admit I'm still not fully convinced since they have such a different look going for them. It's something I could see Falcom pulling off, but the possibility this new guy is one of the Enforcers that have yet to appear is also really high in my mind. Something about his vibe screams more Enforcer than Anguis (Also probably one of the early numbered ones because it seems like every newer Enforcer we've seen skews towards the younger side). Altina's new shield referencing Mash from FGO is cute. As a general TypeMoon fan, I approve of Falcom's cultured tastes. With the amount of footage that places Rean & co in the Ishgal(?) mountain range, Ikaruga marked territory or the wilderness, it wouldn't surprise me if he's route ends up being, at least in the beginning, one of the more isolated routes until the big team up near the finale (kinda like Lloyd in Reverie). This group has certainly been in a rather large amount of outdoor screenshots and gameplay clips, if nothing else. Another thing that intrigues me is what are the places/regions each route is going to take place in (Following the standard set by Reverie & Kuro 2, each route should be set in at least 3 or 4 cities/regions, though like with Crossbell in Reverie & Edith in Kuro 2, we'll probably end up visiting the "capital city" more than once over the course of the game). Following the example of the Rean route, Longlai is by far the most obvious example of a location they'll end up visiting, with both Edith & Ored being a good bit behind in the probability charter considering all the footage shown and the information given out in their character profiles. Besides those, however, I have no idea what other plot relevant places Rean & Co might end up visiting (do take into account that any guest character that joins Rean's group might severely alter this formula).
Regarding that Nina girl, I had no idea who she was and legit thought that was a revived Karin Astray. But that weird Japanese video I watched had google translate call her "The Saint of the End". I can not wait to get there someday. Also, if you haven't seen it, I picked up my package of Daybreak today. It is great. I love the artbook. But for now, it stays in the closet. Until I played Reverie one day.

The Dominions would use the Merkabah and the Papal Guard might have another airship model, under a different name like "ophanim/galgalim" (Biblical references). The Airship looks more modern than the Merkabah and Nina is shown afterwards, therefore Nina is probably the Ein of the Papa Guard. ( Falcom probably came up with it since they thought that Merkabah would look a bit small in a modern game like Kai , especially looking at the newer models of airships like Calvard's Alba-Class and Erebonia's Garguanta-class. Similarly to how they got rid of Courageous I/Arseille I, to make a more up to standard Courageous II/Arseille II. ) Or....Kevin got a new model Merkabah, probably along with the other dominions. Just speculating, since I've noticed that Both the Sky/Crossbell Arc and Cold Steel Arc Markabah are different from the one shown in the trailer.

Bit late, but orbal energy essentially comes from the septium veins running beneath Zemuria (and the rest of the planet, I suppose), right? And orbal tech extracts and makes use of that energy to power stuff. Then it kinda makes sense that you'd need another propulsion source if you're gonna launch up into space since your machine is gonna get cut off from septium vein access once it breaks through the atmosphere. Kinda ties in to the theory that the orbal revolution was what sped up the desertification of Eastern Zemuria. Kinda like abusing the Lifestream from FF7.
while the Marchen Garden dungeons WILL still exist in Kai/Kuro 3 I HATED the FISHING MINI game in Kuro 2 that I'm hoping it does NOT exist in Kai at all especially since in order to buy the fishing items in Kuro 2 that are NOT the default Bait for MORE then 3 to 5 copies ie 99+ at once you had to beat the ENTIRE game first and I'm sure not EVERY FISH you could get in the main game COULD show up in Kuro 2's post game. That's why I'd rather not have the fishing mini game exist in Kai/Kuro 3 at all.

maybe they performed tests and the only way to reach space was to build a rocket ship due to some special properties? Hopefully it'll get explained somewhat in Kai.

Bit late, but orbal energy essentially comes from the septium veins running beneath Zemuria (and the rest of the planet, I suppose), right? And orbal tech extracts and makes use of that energy to power stuff. Then it kinda makes sense that you'd need another propulsion source if you're gonna launch up into space since your machine is gonna get cut off from septium vein access once it breaks through the atmosphere. Kinda ties in to the theory that the orbal revolution was what sped up the desertification of Eastern Zemuria. Kinda like abusing the Lifestream from FF7.
while the Marchen Garden dungeons WILL still exist in Kai/Kuro 3 I HATED the FISHING MINI game in Kuro 2 that I'm hoping it does NOT exist in Kai at all especially since in order to buy the fishing items in Kuro 2 that are NOT the default Bait for MORE then 3 to 5 copies ie 99+ at once you had to beat the ENTIRE game first and I'm sure not EVERY FISH you could get in the main game COULD show up in Kuro 2's post game.
That's why I'd rather not have the fishing mini game exist in Kai/Kuro 3 at all.
I actually like the fishing minigame so far 😅 I missed fishing in Kuro 1 😔
I don't and even the reward for all 28 Fish even if its not all Rank A ones is pure crap and I still hated the way it works so I'd rather not have it exist in Kai/Kuro 3 at all
