- HamCation is the 2nd largest amateur radio and electronics trade show/hamfest in the US (from Feb 11, 2023), which is held in Orlando, Florida. This year, ULTRATechLife.com went to see what cool stuff we could find. Watch this 4K video featuring neat and unique ham radio products, ADS-B talk, space station communications for fun, and a crazy car we found.

...also, ur narration was excellent, as I've had the same feelings, looking at both new & old equip & in just seeing a hamfest in general, as it so often brings back so many fond memories; & since u know CW, u should get back on; it's so different & so much fun vs SSB, etc (& I've been all CW on HF for decades, hi hi); & finally, I'm a history major from college from almost 40 yrs ago! 73 de WA4ELW in TN 🇺🇸 dit dit 😃

You could literally come out of that Hamfest and have spent 1K
I take it Brian didn't mention that the owner of ADS-B Exchange sold it to JetNet, which is owned by a private equity firm, for what some estimate is about $20 million and a $200K/year job. All of the developers who actually built and maintained ADS-B Exchange are no longer with the company and hundreds of feeders have shut down their data streams and redirected them to new community data aggregators. Best I can tell, the ADS-B Exchange database also hasn't been updated since the sale so the map is showing incomplete or out of date information for some aircraft.
