    Just came from your story and had to dig in the comments to find the model and search for a complete review of it. It’s so beautiful, now I want one 😅

    Rockin mine on mesh today. Upgraded to double domed sapphire with blue AR. Love this watch.

      That's a nice combo. Have been thinking of other straps to wear this on (and let's be honest, it would work on just about anything) and a mesh sounds great.

      Where does one buy a mesh strap for this lug size?

    Out of all the new Seiko 5 releases, the dresskx is my favorite. And I bought the gray one too, it goes with every strap and it doesn’t matter what color either. I used the leather strap on the maroon Timex Marlin on my Dresskx. It was an amazing match.

    Really great watch makes you wonder how they can charge another $1000 for the spb143 j1.

      I've had my eye on the SPB143 for quite some time, but haven't been able to justify the cost just yet. I'm sure my willpower will whittle down enough, eventually.

    Great review. I rlly interested in purchasing this watch but i have a very small wrist which is 15cm / 5.91 inch. Would it fit on my wrist?

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  Рік тому

      I believe it might be a bit big, but the most important measurement is the lug to lug. Instead of the circumference of your wrist, can you measure from the top to bottom of your wrist?

    Is the watch made in Japan?

    • @H0kram
      @H0kram Рік тому

      No, they're made in Malaysia and China.
      Models made in Japan end with a J in their reference. They're rare, usually exclusive to Japan, and not 100% made in Japan. That would be Grand Seiko, though even this luxurious branch is not Japan made to the last bit.

      @@OkiDingo watch winders are awful in that they place unnecessary wear on a movement. There's absolutely nothing wrong with letting an automatic watch sit unpowered while not in use.

      @@folderbc sure, but the watch has been loosing time since we first bought it. Its a small watch too so it doesn't last long when its not worn before it stops.

    Great review of what looks like a great watch. Dive watches are my favorite so I love this hybrid that allows you to dress it up. Love it. I am planning on pulling the trigger on this watch but I can't get my hands on one to see the color in person. In a lot of videos and pictures it looks 'browny'. In-person does it look 'browny' or is clearly grey? Thanks in advance for your reply.

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  Рік тому

      It is indeed awesome. In person, it very much looks grey. Of course, it does shift a little bit in different lights, but much more grey than brown, can assure you.

      @@ChronometerCheck Awesome. Thank you for the reply. I think I am going to pull the trigger on this brushed bezel. Can't wait to get it on leather as well as an after market Oyster. Looks like a strap monster!!! Can't wait. Thanks for the great content!

    I ran one of these for a year and was completely underwhelmed. The dial had QC issues and the watch never connected with me.

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  2 роки тому +1

      Seiko and their notorious QC issues... You'd think they would have fixed it by now. I can see how it might not have connected, it's a great watch for what it is, though a bit simple and maybe even bland in some ways.
      I think it's perfect for someone who just wants a good, affordable, and versatile watch, but maybe not as much for someone like you or me who has many others.

    I love how this watch looks and wears but I have a definite love/hate relationship with it. It loses 10 seconds per day no matter how much I wear it or wind it, and it drives me nuts!! Other than that, I really like the look & feel of this piece , but to me NH35 in this watch is not very good

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  3 місяці тому

      That is within spec but can see it being frustrating if you heavily value accuracy. Have you considered getting it regulated?

    • @sparkonthehorizon

      Excuse the ignorance, but what does that entail?

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  3 місяці тому

      @@sparkonthehorizon basically the watchmaker would adjust the timing slightly which should help its accuracy
