As a Pakistani fan it will be interesting to see how are they groomed by the coaches. Seen some Indian bowlers with pace, Aaron Varon comes into mind first of all but mixing up pace and basics is the most important thing. Not been surprised by India U19's preparation. A team that has Dravid as coach is lucky. These boys are lucky that they are being coached by the Greatest Indian Player of All Time
That's the sad aspect, we don't have fast bowling culture like Pakistan so many talented fast bowlers are lost on their way...lt will be interesting to see how they r groomed
Proper coaching matters a lot. In Pakistan there isn't a proper Domestic Cricket system and nobody gives a fuck...So the boys mostly become bowlers... Indian boys just need to be groomed given the brilliant domestic season year after year but all focus on batting

We've been always taught to put accuracy over pace and that's the reason why we did not produce world class fast bowlers for so many years. But now, things have changed and most importantly its the mindset that has changed. Our future really looks bright in this department.
India main team should not wait to include him in squad, but when he deserves to be according to requirements. He is throwing such pace at 18, he would be destruction as he grows. Respect from Pakistan
Mohammed Irfan hahha , he wouldn't be destruction as he grows as you say. Most probably he would also stop exerting so much on Indian pitches when he sees no results. There are have been many such bowlers and there are still many youngsters but they all lose pace and aggression after a few years of international cricket. Munaf Patel, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra were as quick as him when they started but they all fizzled out as they grew, Indian cricket conditions don't support fast bowling. Our crumbling wickets support spinners so when spinners take 7 out 10 wickets there is little incentive to sweat so much and ball fast especially when bowling fast shortens and risks your career.
Rahul Bisht Munaf Zaheer and Nehra never clocked 145 even at the start of their careers. Pace was such a rarity back then that Munaf clocking the early 140s made headlines when he first arrived on the scene.

Two things to keep in mind: 1) Make sure they dont push their body out of limits and injure themselves while being so young. 2) Make sure they are trained for accuracy and general line&length discipline as well. Second one is hard. Fast bowlers tend to have lower accuracy and bad line and length. And it either takes them long time to learn or just waste their career. Shaun Tait had great speed, but wasnt so successful as his senior teammate and one of the all time lethal Brett Lee. Fast bowler immediately remind of greats like Wasim, Waqar, Lee, Ambrose, Donald

McGrath hardly bowled about 134kmph(although he was a tall bowler and because of his height bowl moved really well because of seam movement) and even Anderson is known for his accuracy rather than speed (swing is the king). Speed is anyday overrated being a good bowler requires good line with movement
This batch of Cricketers are far better than wat we saw this year not to insult enyone but it is clearly visible the confidence level in them is much more and the maturity as well has a shape the winning attitude and the mentality of them was the key for them to lift that title... This year was the worst I saw from the final from Bangladesh really not good and not clear with wat they have come for hope the next time better..
I just hope BCCI doesn't always provide them dull and flat tracks at home for domestic matches. Many Indian fast bowlers had started with top speed(Ishant, Munaf Patel, Balaji, Varun Aaron) but lost a good amount of speed gradually. I hope these young lads don't go the same direction.

Two things to keep in mind:
1) Make sure they dont push their body out of limits and injure themselves while being so young.
2) Make sure they are trained for accuracy and general line&length discipline as well.
Second one is hard. Fast bowlers tend to have lower accuracy and bad line and length. And it either takes them long time to learn or just waste their career. Shaun Tait had great speed, but wasnt so successful as his senior teammate and one of the all time lethal Brett Lee. Fast bowler immediately remind of greats like Wasim, Waqar, Lee, Ambrose, Donald

McGrath hardly bowled about 134kmph(although he was a tall bowler and because of his height bowl moved really well because of seam movement) and even Anderson is known for his accuracy rather than speed (swing is the king). Speed is anyday overrated being a good bowler requires good line with movement

This batch of Cricketers are far better than wat we saw this year not to insult enyone but it is clearly visible the confidence level in them is much more and the maturity as well has a shape the winning attitude and the mentality of them was the key for them to lift that title... This year was the worst I saw from the final from Bangladesh really not good and not clear with wat they have come for hope the next time better..

I just hope BCCI doesn't always provide them dull and flat tracks at home for domestic matches. Many Indian fast bowlers had started with top speed(Ishant, Munaf Patel, Balaji, Varun Aaron) but lost a good amount of speed gradually. I hope these young lads don't go the same direction.
