    Thanks for showing how they use GPS to cut these mazes. Who woulda thought a little ole B7500 cuts those fantastic designs...
    Corn mazes are great family fun and gets the young-uns off their devices and out into agri- nature. Perhaps they should have a display showing all the uses that corn provides when it's harvested & processed.
    I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the maze not only pays for itself but also offsets the loss at corn harvest. Win - win. 👍
    Carry On.

    Really neat to see. Just cut my first corn maze 2 weeks ago. Plotted the field out on graph paper and made it to scale. Then mowed the corn with a zero turn and a measuring wheel.

    Best one I ever saw was an entire field cut down with one stalk still standing. In front of that was a sign that read "Corn Maze for Blonds".

    We GPS planted our maze. The one who set the system up was the real hero and the maze ended up great.

      Doing it with row clutches would be awesome. I'd love to do a video on that.

    I’m think I heard it was a 28 acre field. How many acres are cut out?

    I can tell Neil really wanted to get deeper into this and fully geek out, but struggling to keep it manageable for the audience :)

      Yes, we trimmed quite a bit. It could have been 10 minutes longer.

      @@MessicksEquip I'd have enjoyed that. Almost makes you wonder if there's a market for software targeted directly at making mazes. Business opportunity!

    Wonder if they can skip the mowing and program the planter if it has individual row monitors

    • @MessicksEquip
      @MessicksEquip  Рік тому +1

      Yes, if your planter has individual row clutches you can do this.

    • @barelystablefarm7151

      That's an interesting concept. The only thing I can see as a issue is you'd probably still have to mow it several times before it was ready for foot traffic due to growing weeds/grasses.

    • @MessicksEquip
      @MessicksEquip  Рік тому +1

      @@barelystablefarm7151in the back-half of the video. There is about a month for things to decay, then the first day or two of foot traffic cleans up the remainder.
