  • Note: This dough has to chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before baking so make sure you do NOT skip this step.
    These maple brown sugar cookies are delicious, soft, chewy and packed with flavor. You will LOVE them, and so will everyone else. Do not use pancake syrup, it has to be pure maple syrup.

    Ingredients
    2 and 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
    1 cup packed dark brown sugar
    1 large egg, at room temperature
    1/3 cup pure maple syrup
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    1 cup chopped pecans
    Maple Icing
    2 Tablespoons butter
    1/3 cup pure maple syrup
    1 cup sifted confectioners’ sugar
    Combine ingredients for cookes, then chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Bake cookies 350 degrees for 12-13 minutes, cool completely, then frost.
