What we learnt from this video. I am a neglectful father, there is a 955 Ferrari, and a Maxima is still faster than a 600HP sports car.
I guess I have buy more t-shirts to bail Nick out of jail for gorilla abuse!

Love Jason Castriota's design of the 599, those winglets built into the body were so iconic and you can see cars like the Ford GT have that design built in too now!
Remember Nick, you need to put a dead body in the trunk of Italian cars to have optimal grip!
A brief moment when you introduced the Black Horse garage I was a bit jealous because I live in Norway and a glorius garage like that is unthinkable of here. Looking forward to you showing us what else they have and can do. Really looking forward to that. Keep up the good work Nick. I have been following you several years now and I love to see how much improvement in qualitiy you have had, and also how natural and relaxed, down to earth and a nice person you are is easy seen. Great video as always. Shame on you for poor William though. That is a minus :-) Next time let William drive and you can sit in the garage.

Never was a fan of the 599, with the exception of the GTO, but this one in black looks really really tasty, specially in that Autumn light. That said, given that the F1 gearboxes are a bit of maintenance nightmare from what i hear, and the manuals i would bet are being stored for collection, i would wait a couple more years and get a F12 instead.... if i wasn't a broke ass compared to those that can afford these beasts. :D

Great review. As always. Love the combination of this being a more modern Ferrari than the prior generation, while remaining a bit mechanical and “less” computerized than the brand new ones.
It’s not about the speed alone, it’s also about the style. And there Ferrari gets beaten by a 911 every time. Porsche does not need the extravaganza in design Ferrari needs to launch a new model. Porsche has pedigree. Either you Love it, or you hate it. If you Love Porsche, you’ll never need another mistress. The 911, she will keep you high and satisfied all the time. Thx for the vid, Nick! Paul Thomson : Thx Paul! We always bump into the eternal Love-hate relationship (mostly hate, lol) between those who love Porsche and the Ferrari afficianados. A Porsche driver who likes Ferrari is a “contradictio in terminis”. As they say. Nick knows that. Actually, he gave us all a hint when he left his toy pet in that garage and told us it would be queer, since he loves Ferraris. What Nick really ment to say was: you must be a Gorilla to like a Ferrari! A message Well Hidden, Nick. Lmao, really.
That's usually the kind of simplistic response that "fan boys" give without an actual empirical insight. I have spent a lot of time with both over the last 40 years, and really like and respect the history, engineering and method of how both get to the final product. They are both SO much fun to spend time in.. The engines, handling, braking, the engine sound.And the styling. I love how Porsche uses the form follows function method and simplistically styles and "evolves' the designs. And, of course, the classic Italian designs of Ferrari.. So many iconic shapes over the years.. I like them both, and it's perfectly normal..
Glider 123: I cannot argue with what you’re saying, since I never had the urge to drive a Ferrari of any model. What I do know, is that you can’t really compare them as cars. They are two of a kind. And I will give Ferrari graciously the honor of being faster. And louder.

The 599 is bad ass...very cool ride...expensive but sounds glorious....front engine ferraris are fun...although the new twin turbo portifino might be a nice choice too...Nick wants a 599!

Nick, I very much enjoyed this video and I checked out the Black Horse Garage site. Of course it's important that they get some feedback from their participation with you. I see they list the tested Ferrari as price reduced. I have a feeling that after your video gets some exposure, that unit will move. Good luck with everything. From an old guy Canadian.

Man they have quite a collection there! Excited for future videos of their cars too. Love the 599 and it's wonderful sounding V12 but the dated tech keeps me from wanting one these days. Now it's the F12 and 812 I want.
Hi Nick, I have an advice for you. When you do a drag race, choose a specific spot where you start from, for example "let's start from this white sign". I've seen plenty of such spots in your video. Just look at 5:45, there is a sign you could start from. This would prevent any jumpstarts or mistakes in counting (very often a second from "one" to "go" is shorter than from "two" to "one")... Just one of you would have to drive at certain speed while the other would keep matching it. Eaaaaasy :)

One of the reds that the GTB had as an option is the most beautiful paint finish I've ever seen from up close.

Uh, the 599 manual is ALMOST a collectible? Bruh, a 599 with a manual sold at RM Sotheby's last year for over $600.000, THREE TIMES the price of an equivalent paddle-box 599. It's completely ridiculous.

nope. single clutch systems are clunky and weird until you put them in sport+ or race and give the engine the full beans.

The big problem with Ferraris in my opinion is they're never 4WD, at least not any of the interesting models: 360, 430, 458, 488, 599 GTB and so on.
A totally different car and experience but the spirit of this car seems similar to a z06. Too much power for the rear wheels and a no BS exhaust note that is a full range of not give a shit loud.
