- In this video I will talk about Sony RT3 vs Zebronics 9800 Pro, the two famous and really popular soundbars in India in 2021 under 20000. I will be unboxing Sony HT RT3 Soundbar and Zebronics Jukebar 9800 Pro Soundbar in this video and will be doing an in depth comparison of the two. These Soundbars are similarly priced at 20000, and in this video I will compare Sony rt3 with Zebronics jukebar 9800 pro Soundbar in VMone Style. This has been the toughest comparison videos I have made so far because both Zebronics 9800 pro and Sony rt3 sound very good and very similar to each other. Both Sony rt3 and Zebronics 9800 pro come with different Dolby decoding capabilities. While Sony rt3 decodes Dolby Digital, Zebronics 9800 pro is known for its Dolby Atmos capabilities. I recommend you to listen to the audio samples that I have taken from both these Sony rt3 and Zebronics 9800 pro. I have played the same songs at same volume, used the same mic to record the audio, and that mic was kept at the same distance from both the Soundbars in order to check actual performance of these Soundbars.

Long but relevant review by an ordinary zebronics customer.
It’s been close to two months since buying and using the zebronics 9800 Dolby atmos soundbar and my brother in law has the same sony model here in question. Without getting too much technical(for simple understanding) here are few observations based purely on my practical experiences
1. For the same file(audio video BT etc) the zeb model is louder and at high volumes shows less distortion as compared to the Sony
2. I use 2.1ver HDMI cable plugged in eARC port(LG 4K UHD smart TV), with this set up the zeb model simply blows Sony out - voice clarity, sound separation, bass everything sounds out of the world. But this is mostly observed while watching movies. For other files I don’t seem to be receiving better response..
3. The Sony however gives a lovely and sweet surround effect for all files even while watching SD content (from set top box), like for instance while watching cricket match - the hustling whistling, shouting, clapping of audience, even commentators conversation among themselves in background, stump mic sounds all of these are quite realistic and come out very clear and crisp in Sony. This seems inadequate with zebronics
4. In a typical living room conditions Sony processing is very balanced for any input - songs, dialogues, sports, Tele ads, Bluetooth content etc even when you plug in with a normal cable in HDMI ARC port. Where as zebronics seems like it’s demanding for an acoustic atmosphere, in fact it comes out very well if you have a theatre like setup room..trust me I tested my zeb in so many corners and rooms that if I’d made videos, it could be worth a review of its own..
5. In short, if you have a small living room and your sound requirement is for all type of content - movies songs bhajans small gatherings then Sony is good enough. However if your content consumption is mostly movies and you have a separate TV room for it then go with zebronics
6. Lastly, internally Sony has a better perception value in comparison to zebronics.. so whenever you have a guest at home they may or may not judge you for Sony, but for zebronics they’ll definitely judge 😂. Please don’t ignore this fact. My wife hasn’t allowed me in room for days for considering zebronics over Sony, so be watchful!

I have Htrt3...And I never got disappointed on it.....Fix the speakers in proper position and enjoy the surround sound of movies..
One another advantage is that it comes with a Sony music Centre app....when you use pen drive the data will show on your phone & you can control through your phone..
A soundbar cannot be judged on the basis of music content other aspects like movie scenes in true Dolby Digital/ Atmos has to be played to know the true potential of the product.

Sony is master in manufacturing audio systems from many years! Zebronics is only good at manufacturing computer peripherals. Sony cannot be compared with brand like Zebronics.
The smoothness of sound in Sony was not felt with Zebronics sound bar.

Sir I would like to point out some of my thought about your video, what could have been better- (main koi hater nhi hu sir, only improvement k liye bta rha hu)
1. Sony speaker surround speakers hai so better comparison vo hota jisme aap surround placement karke ek surround music bhi sunate, zeb only front firing hai to logo ko surround music bhi pta chalta - Apple to apple comparison shi nhi hai sir.
2. Sony ka music center app aata hai uske bare me aapne mention nhi kiya, uss app se user bina remote k all things control kar skte hain like -
Sound - Clear audio/ music/ game/movie/sport etc
Night mode on off
voice and sound adjustment(mono/ dual)
Speaker placement - Like rear speaker distance(L/R), Surround level (L/R)

After hearing the sound clips you provided, Sony feels more natural, more close to what that song sounds like in an expensive headphone. Zebronics is good too but it doesn't feel that close to what that song actually sounds like. May be you could make another part for the video comparing their performances against voices, dialogs, folk and classical songs etc.
And the main point I was looking for in the review is the surround sound experience, which no viewer can ever experience from UA-cam. Only you can experience it live. Even if Zebronics could decode Atmos, as far as my research goes, the separation in sound stage isn't nearly as good as 2 dedicated surround speakers. Having both the speakers behind your couch and experiencing a good movie should give you those missing high notes. Those surround speakers will fill you the missing notes you were talking about. They are not supposed to be placed near the TV but behind the listener. Having tried a Vizio Atmos soundbar without surround speakers and with surround speakers, the difference in the level of immersion is night and day. I am not making a point for Sony and don't have anything against Zebronics. But the dedicated surround speakers are the real unsung heroes in a 'surround' experience, one that Zebronics's vertical firing speakers can't match against. For that single reason, I felt the comparison was incomplete and Sony was at a disadvantage for the incorrect positioning of the speakers.
Love your work tho. Audio is a very personal experience. No single device can satisfy every person. Everyone enjoys their own unique sound signature and might prefer one over the other. Thanks for your insights on the power delivery. Keep doing the awesome stuff...
Totally agree with the surround speakers part you just explained. The exact function of those two speakers is to provide a wholesome surround effect which Zebronics would not provide.
Wired surround is not cluster free.
Yes it is not. It's a pain to route them through ceiling but it blends in good under a carpet if you have a good couch and coffee table setup. Ultimately it's your personal preference but surround sound takes your music and movie watching experience to a whole new level. And with more modern movies using dolby surround to encode their audio, it only gets better from here.
i too feel sony has much more balanced sound frequency wise. zebronics as typical bass and highs sound. there is no review of surround sound does zebronics reproduce dolby atmos sound perfectly bcz u cat judge surround in stereo audio. sony sounds more roomy bcz of its surround speakers while zebronics more upfront sound
which one do you recommend out of all the available (that feels like atmos if not in real) under 40k? it seems like we both agree on this one.
Hi Vineet, nice review but felt few important things were not touched upon, the surround sound effect of sony? Is that any good, does the extra surround speakers play a role in improving the overall Soundstage?
Agree, the zebronics does really well in bringing out the sounds that I could not otherwise hear in sony but listening to the audio tracks you have uploaded zebronics does sound distorted some times which I couldn't find in sony. Also, does the extra support of dolby digital plus make a difference in sound quantity against just dolby digital in sony?
I dont know how Vineet has reviewed but i have both systems infact zebronics 9800 is not atall recommended , it doesn't have surround sound, sony is way better in every aspect
I understand why VM1 has rated low RT3. If the test was done with the factory settings then yes RT3 gives boomy sound but when u install music center app and set the sound adjustment of voice in clear voice function to up2...Then I bet u experience is totally different from the factory setting audio....Try it sir👍👌

Zebronics 9800 pro as a indian brand really has a good vocal quality with punchy bass compared to Sony rt3, I'm really socked after listening to the drive audio file, as a music lovers I'm also prefer Zebronics & including TV contents & OTT contents i think under 20k Zebronics is best. I'm very glad to see in youtube only Vineet sir worked hard to give us best contents in various Electronic gadgets in proper way. Hats off sir & your hard working, keep it up more way to go 👍

Sony just nailed it extremely clear bassss and natural sound. Zebronics boosts the bass and sound. My pick would be sony. The King Always.
1) Haal e Dil - no major difference observed
2) Shape of you - Zeb is clear winner
3) Tum ko dekhe bina - Zeb has punchi voice with more trable but base distorted few times. Big disappointment. ( May be song choice... Request to record some original sounds and not remakes / unplugged)

Zebronics is third class brand with roadside chinese componenets. This raises question marks on your credibility. Alas, like other youtubers you have also gone commercial and money minded by presenting such paid videos. Sony is too big to pay you so you demean them. Throw your tag of sachha reveiws and all.

This review shows how muchhhh effort you put into your comparison videos. This is commendable and need aplause 👏👏👏👏👏. You are genuinely knowledged and honest as always.
Although I want to put that melodious listening not always depends upon how much treble we are getting from an equipment. Sometime more emphasis on treble/high notes makes listening uncomfortable. Zebronics 9800pro has lower bass just right but its emphasis on high notes ruins the experience a bit. I felt it sounds harsh, less rounded so less lively. But it is always better than RT3, if we are going to use soundbar primarily with a tv to watch news, web series, soap-opera and MOVIES. Just my humble observations and 40 years of experience as listner.
For the comparison, you missed a valid point- the overall surround experience from both the bars. You kept it around sound quality, while immersive and surround experience is for what people mostly buy these sounbars, otherwise a stereo music system is always a better choice than these bars for listening music and songs. Including this point could have made this comparison wholesome. Hope you agree!!
Please compare 9800 pro with HT-IV300. This is too priced around ₹20k, so a comparision between these two is inevitable.

Nice review. I am having Sony HT RT3. The clarity of the sound much better than any soundbars. We can use voice-up option for better voices while watching movies. The bass is excellent. We can use all-front option if we put the surround speakers near the soundbar. For standard option we have to put the surround speakers behind our sitting position which gives theater experience. We can set distance of the speakers via remote which automatically adjust the sound. Clear voice, night mode, sports, movie mode available. What else we need? After a month of analysis I choose sony and its amazing...bass, clarity, standard,look and surround sound.

Actually after hearing the audios attached i feel a sense of clarity on sony and a boomed effect in zebronics.Not sure how it felt in reality but i would the clarity makes a lot of difference in music, but i also accept the fact that sony should concentrate on woofer effect as it sometimes overpower other sounds.

I have Sony HTR3 Home Theatre and it’s connected to Sony X80j 65 inch TV and it’s totally jaw dropping experience and pure cinematic experience. It comes with Sony proprietary Clear Audio + and UP1 & UP2 features which gives you crystal clear notes. And subwoofer is solid thumping and surround is exceptional. I have Netflix, Prime, Premiun UA-cam, Disney star and other OTTs and i never get disappointed for a min. Everytime it brings a great smile on your face. And you will Enjoy it throughly. I don’t wanted to talk about Zebby as i didn’t experience it personally but Sony is a marvel Japanese technology which is undisputed champion.
After listening to both the files and youtube video of the sound test, I found Sony better, clearer and more lively. That's my opinion.

Sorry Vineet but this was a very poor video comparison.
The main purpose of a soundbar is to watch movies. Just describing the types of audio formats that the soundbar can play is not enough. You haven't talked at all about the surround sound quality in both the systems. The surround quality of Sony should be better than Zebronics because of the dedicated 5.1 channels. Zebronics is a 2.1.2 system while Sony is 5.1 system with separate surround speakers.
You have paid attention to dialogues for TV shows and didn't even talk about the specific dialogue enhancer feature in Sony.
What about theater like sound effects in Netflix and movies? What about shows like Lost in Space on Netflix? Which soundbar is better at that? If I just wanted clear dialogues then even my TV speakers can produce excellent mid-range notes. People buy a soundbar for surround sound and not just dialogues.
You have based your review entirely on music be it through Bluetooth or ARC.

@@sagarbjadhav695 hi sagar the sound system is good and I have only one issue that is low voice/dialogue delivery in few movies apart from that I am quite happy.. if your TV doesn't have arc port then the 2nd best option will be the optical port and if there is no optical port in your TV then you can watch movies by using aux or bluetooth but definitely the quality will be compromised.. but if your room size is like 12X12 (small) then you can use the htrt3's Clear Audio feature by activating the back surround speaker units to enjoy the movie/news.. 👍👍👍

I have been watching many of the videos/reviews uploaded by you from time to time. Whereas I have no issues with your opinion, I truly feel that one very important aspect is never touched upon, viz. after sales service. Our country is far away from reaching a state where a gadget, once it has any problem, is thrown away and a new one is acquired. So the service network available is extremely important. I would request that whenever any gadget is reviewed, the situation regarding after sales service is invariably shared with the viewers. Thank you 🙏
What you said is very true.
Usually every reviewer forgets this, everybody says cheap and best, and valu for money, when problem comes, lg sony samsung kind of companies service center are easy to find. While others are not. I bought a phone based on specs, then it broke, company just took the phone and never repaired for 6 months.

No service centers
Everything is good as long it works.
But nobody mentions, because reviewers will not use any device for that long.

without Rear channels it is difficult to beat Sony..

Zebronics 9400 pro i have recommended to my neighbour and they ae purchasing just because they havent done concealead wires for rear channel speakers otherwise they themselves would have brought Sony

Stumbled upon this video for the first time . Impressive review and very patiently and painstakingly put together.
There is one big flaw in your review. The zebronics is a front firing and sound reflecting Atmos capable soundbar. Where as the Sony you've reviewed is a Dolby setup with two rear surrounds. U placed the surrounds in the front! That's wrong. To test the Dolby effects for both these speakers, you need to set up the correct sound stage. U did not do that. Dolby effects for both these sound bars will be different depending on the movie. For bluetooth music, that does not matter cause it's just stereo. It would be good if you actually created a sound stage, sat in the middle of it and then explained to your audience if sony created the right Dolby effects and if zebronics managed the Atmos effects. Placing a mic somewhere and talking about bass and treble is not good enough. Testing these speakers with just a mic and talking about it without explain burnin is being partial to both brands.
I personally believe in taking a speaker system that creates more bass because it simply means it's got more power that I can reduce to make the audio clean and classy. While uncovered many great aspects, you missed one the main one. How do they perform wrt Dolby audio delivery. I personally liked ghat u showed that they get identified as Dolby and Dolby Atmos speakers in netflix. That's was really thoughtful.
Sony is way ahead in bass and sound clarity compared with zebronics.

@@Sam_i0 my uncle has this model and he bought this 6 years back. I don't agree on what u said. In extreme higher volumes, Yes it lacks bit clarity. But it's an extremely good set for the money. Just that it does not have proper high notes (bcoz of no tweeters)

And after hearing to the audio files I find Sony has way more clearer vocals and is more pleasing hear especially the Hari Haran's song sounded true and natural. In my several observations I found you promoting Zebrononics heavily as well as Obage. I don't know whether they paid you or not I would suggest you to not lose your credibility. If you go by the comments you would see that you have a very good audience who understand music.
It is hard for people to accept that zebronics can have better sound than Sony. It is because most people are biased towards brand names and this is what brands take advantage of . Thank you Vineet for this video. I agree with your verdict because I have heard the sound of both soundbars.

Vineet ji, that's why sony introduced its ht s20r home theater....vocal are more crisp and clear in ht s20r....ye mene khud test kiya tha sony, croma or reliance digital k showroom pe ja kar...and the main reason i choose sony is because of their build quality and sound.

I have both Sony HT-RT3 and Sony HT IV-300 and these both are bomb in this price range. Dolby Atmos is not much different than DD and DDHD. A good 5.1 audio source sounds like movie theatre on Sony

Please add "MUSIC" review in the title. You totally forgot the main aspect of the comparison that is SURROUND SOUND. Where is that comparison ? A fake ATMOS marketing versus a true DOLBY DIGITAL experience. Even if DD is old and basic it gives a much much better exp than a virtual ATMOS by a single soundbar. I got a RT-40 just for the surround , its a fantastic system for an amazing movie experience. I am very disappointed that you forgot (or ignored) the full movie exp and just focused on music exp. If title had it , I wouldnt watch this video even :(

Using RT3 since a month, I can say no one can beat Sony. Theatre like experience at every moment. Exceptional surround, voice clarity can be achieved by night mode. You can watch two movies continuously with sony. I had zebronics too in which you cant watch a movie for more than 2 hrs, very loud and crappy sound whereas in sony its smooth and calm.

But I disagree with your some views.
Watching this video i purchased Zebronics 9800 sound bar in oct 2021. It was amazing. The sound quality was awesome for 8-10 month. Post warranty we observed some issue and soundbar stopped working. I raised a complain in delhi butvthe response was very poor. Without visiting they estimated the charges of 7000+gst.
Despite several followus the service was not provided.
From last one year the sound bar isnot working. Rs 18k barbad ho gaya sir.
Then i understood there is not at all comparision of sony to zebronics. Sony is very very big brand they value customer and their products are most reliable.
My only request to you is to keep these aspect as welll in your videos so thr customer can make good decision of choosing reliable company like Sony over vad experienced Zebronice.
My all money wasted.

Yeh sach mein unique review hain. Testing soundbar as if it a stereo setup.
Appreciate your efforts but being a musician myself, I felt Zeb is producing distorted sound in your 3rd song. Bass is overpowered in Zeb but Sony is doing good job in producing a balanced sound. A good dolby atmos can only be possible when you have overhead speakers and rear speakers. That'll cost more than 1.5 lacs easily. Better to enjoy 5.1 surround sound rather than falling in marketing strategy of cheap Dolby atmos soundbar.
Apart from sound quality, Sony comes with great build quality which will give you confidence of reliability.

I heard your audio files where zebronics is feeling dazzling noise like chann chann more in voice.. Uncomfortable in earphone to listen in full volume where as sony doesn't and can hear all songs till the end. 🙄

Thanks a lot Vineet, I bought Zebronics 9800 Pro after watching your valuable comparison and am stunned by the performance. Its amazing, and every word you spoke on the comparison is 100% true. Cannot believe by seeing the size of the speaker that it can create wonders :) . I could not test the Atmos as there is no video supported in any OTT. But other sound signatures works very well and thumping effect you feel in every actions scenes. Speech quality is super clear, no matter how loud the Bass.. Please continue your excellent work, a big thumps up to your review. :)

No way brother... technically impossible without ur tv having earc support..tv models before 2020 are just having arc model which can't support Dolby true hd,dtsx or dolby atmos
Brother the Zebronics 9800 have 4k pass-through & also Hdmi in & Out port. So technically its possible with a Fire Stick plugged directly into the Soundbar then from the sound bar to TV for the video. In this way we can achive the Dolby surround sound. That's why I just wanted to know the quality of the surrounding sound - As dolby atmos means more than 5.1 channel . So can we really feel the rain sound coming above our head . That was my question?
@@rahulrdr7565 Yes bro u r correct..with firestick we can pass through and coming to ur ques these soundbars are virtually Atmos created so this is not a great feel.. instead if u can invest more,go for Denon s70h av receiver and Polk T1600 5.1 and 2 ceiling speakers for atmos.on whole it costs you around 1 lakh which is the perfect for experiencing

It gives a perfect atmos feeling so better u can go other pavkages like yamaha yht 1840,sony ht iv300,logitech z906 why i suggest this becoz u have less atmos content in netflix,prime,disnep,if u download it may go approx 4gb to 10 gb

people need to understand difference between rasterized bass and natural bass, sony has ruined its quality with the conception of people like extra bass masala and they completely messed the mids and highs, i cant believe the zebronics is providing so nice clear sound, do you guys hear the wave of bass when the beat drops in zeb? the wave that you hear in your ear is what a natural bass sounds like, its not that big thud, bass is all wave. and let bass alone, the mids and highs are so clear in zeb. definately a win. sony is just a headache bass XD
Extra lows feels like real environment...and Best thing about sony is (that u ll miss in zebronics) you can feel the bass at low volume....even at volume 30(out of 100)...but in zebronics to get that bass ubhave to go upto vokume 50...which very loud for a normal environment...(u ll miss 5.1 surrounding in zebronics)
