@@JoelsTastyRideyou are right, Joel. I am sorry if I hurt you. To follow your journey on Instagram and FB are exciting, too. You are a very busy man now. I congratulate you on your sport reporting skills. You talk faster and energetic, but still with a soothing and passionate voice.
Lillian! Hi, good morning, you are awesome :-) always good to see your name, I hope you’re having a beautiful month of November and a lovely Monday today
So cool thank you so much for the good words, I felt like in the tough times I almost had it easy, I had a huge advantage all of you cheering for me. Thank you so much :-)
With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching in the USA I am thankful for Joel and Lei with all the food / travel and hard work they put in all their videos. ❤
Oh yes, Thanksgiving, you are totally right :-) it’s not celebrated over over here but, I have been thankful every single day of this whole month of course for safety for really good legs and fitness and health and, so many beautiful memories from this trip for sure. Thank you for the reminder, yes, we will celebrate together on Thursday!!!
Thank you! Hi Christine ❤️🙌🏼🥳 thanks for the good words and yes, second place in the race yesterday (and it was a big one!) so even though I was unsure… my legs were totally great! Haha
Good Morning Li & Joel and all of the BruCrew. Great looking jersey and more noodles for later. Li must be in 7th Heaven! Have a Blessed new week & Peace be with You!
You are awesome Ron, as supportive as ever, thank you so much for the good messages! Yes Li is very happy but just mostly happy I’m home (it’s been 7 weeks in a row of races) and now also I guess I have to try not to just talk about this race for the next 48 hours straight…
Jim!! Thank you man, whew I think it’s almost an overload of “what if…” just thinking about the 10 years I spent in THIS countryside… what if it had been in THAT side, other side of the other border… Just so rich, so deep, so much…
Thank you 🤗 wow thank you very much. I hope the storyline was not too hard to follow :) usually I don’t have energy to take all the clips along the way but, this one was worth it (good memories for me too for sure!!!)
@JoelsTastyRide Storyline was awesome. You have a gift of story telling that is unique that takes the audience along with along with the ride. We need more. Have a great week. Until the next video.
Hiiiii Christine :) well, in Thailand I don’t have to translate for her very much anymore… so now it’s up to me to do the same (meaning, time for me to learn :)
Hey hey dude, always so cool to see you on either Facebook and or Instagram and then hear on UA-cam, you just give me the constant support, I don’t deserve it… but. I’m so grateful and I appreciate it so much.
Congratulations Joel....komkom_space, everyone. The kit design is gorgeous, love the elephant. Really appreciate you holding the camera along the ride so we can get the entire experience and views. Lol the street sweeping truck playing music like an ice cream truck. Great photos, hope you get well soon❤
So cool as always, Abigail thank you for the good words, yes I really do like this one, usually I keep these as memories but actually this jersey I think I want to wear it ha ha. I hope you’re having a great day, greetings from both of us!!
YOOOO!!! John I’m so happy man, so good to see your name, thank you for the beautiful words. Actually my team performed great yesterday completely aced the plan, we finished first second and third. 🔴🟡🟢🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Taireeeeee :) You sent me some very well-timed inspiration and motivation, thank you for the share on Facebook, I was really happy to see that. Obviously during this race, I was just totally on the limit so I really loved (and put to good use for sure, haha) I really loved all the messages.
Leetshots!! I guess I am lucky to have not had these same things... but, I can tell you that with China AND with every single country I have been able to visit, meeting "normal people" in their daily life situations will show the 100% truth that we are all the same. Governments and Media and History Books have all types of opinions but in reality, most people are so, so very similar, and we all want nearly the exact same things out of life
Oh man, I love this video so much. The editing is top notch. I loved that you kept multiple threads of storyline rolling into a unified resolution. Absolutely brilliant! And 30 new friends?!?! 🙌 What?!!! 🤟👍🏾💪 Thanks so much for sharing this amazing adventure. Absolutely inspiring. And more reason for gratitude and praise. Congratulations, too, on the race itself. Wow! I hope you've gotten some good rest upon your return.😀 Blessings, brother! Big ups, blue crew!
Yaw. It is always a gift to have such a nice message to read in the form of a video comment :) I kid you not man, yesterday I was noticing (over time) how messages have become shorter... compared with 4 years ago (during the c19 days) where these messages could take the form of letters at times! Haha ok, I cant complain, because those also required hours and hours each week just to properly answer them all, but I am really happy to read this one today! From that race, the new friendships were probably as memorable as any other part of the race itself, and in a veeeery gentle way of comparison of course (when racing over such hard terrain), the race becomes more a challenge of defeating the land, as in a battle, and while still there of course its less about defeating the people around you. So reconnecting each day at dinner or breakfast before the next days race, it was such a blessing to see so many tired (smiling, but more and more tired haha) faces, and getting to know many of them throughout the week. I cannot wait to go again next year, but I am already talking to a few of the new friends on Strava and Messenger.
Dude :) :) Hey hey! haha you noticed... thankfully our lives in Thailand are now much closer to China/Chinese ingredients, we can actually buy all this stuff in Thailand (just isnt as fresh!). But yeah, too much focus on the bike, I admit! I forgot the peppercorns :)
I love it man. I had to read that twice then I started smiling :-) no, definitely no new foods today ha ha ha ha but I’m so happy to have the same stuff for sure. I hope you are doing great man. I hope maybe you could say the same, life is good and good… And more good. Spread the joy, Carry the light. Talk to you soon.
Joel "Today, not a big ride, I'm sick, taking it easy." *rides 80KM* Me, who only tools around on a bike for like 10 KM and is exhausted the rest of the day.😶 Yeah, amazing! The scenery is totally Thailand until you see the built up infrastructure. Beautiful place! Crazy empty buildings. That noodle dish looks beautiful too. I think you can find it in Chiang Mai with some searching. Nice race pics and a great story line too. Then some MORE awesome noodles! I want to go! I wish the up river ferry on the Mekong still ran. I'd love to do the trip there like that!! Congratulations on a great race!!
Congratulations on your finish. 5th is outstanding. Glad the Chinese sectioned off the roads for the race, otherwise, it would be like those doofus bystanders in the Tour de France who took out 50 cyclists. I think the "empty buildings" are due to poor construction and cannot have occupants
Hey Matt man! Well, I was ever only qualified to teach science to kids, so I can't give you quotable statistics from personal experience here :) but, basically the issue with rubber are along the same lines of issues as with most of the main cash plants our societies rely on today. A) what you have to cut down in order to grow the thing, B) all the social and economic decisions that come along with the chance for greed and corruption (most of them also including some sort of cost against the environment as well, either through neglect, or by actively polluting). Rubber grows best in the same areas where the world has (or had!) all of its most dense jungles and rainforests, so one of em tends to get cut down to grow the other... and then human nature is simply human nature, anything that grows fast and makes (what appears to be easy money) just gets more and more sought after, and more pressure is added to grow or harvest more and more, and its a cycle that likely wont stop until either human beings change completely, or all the good growing land and good soil is gone.
Wow! Peter! Well, to be honest I was already intrigued from my first trip (before I ever met Li) - but you’re right in a way, my love for her makes me even more intrigued by her culture… But in general, I do not agree with what you’ve said, I think of both India and China each as literal never-ending sources of fascination, for SO many reasons!! I think there’s no travel-lover or history-lover OR food-lover on earth who wouldn’t love one or both of these countries.
