    Nice video from a fellow Logan grad. People forget that the diaphragm attaches to the lumbar spine and is usually involved in most LBP cases.

    Thank you for such a wonderful tips. There
    Are not many doctors and chiropractors who are as knowledgeable and caring as you. Thank you. Most just rush into adjustments and get the patient out rather than explaining and treating the root cause .. thank you 🙏 once again

    after consciously breathing like this for just a few minutes.. wow! I already feel the change in my posture and the release of tension in those sore lower back muscles. Thank you so much!

    Hey Doc O'Guin , I am a clarinetist and I am trying to increase my breath / lung capacity so that my sound and playing will be improved. Do you have any advice for this kind of problem ? Much appreciated. BTW I am In NYC. Are you near by for training or do you know of anyone in The Manhattan area that could assist with your technique? Many Thx Tommy F.

    Awesome. Crazy as I’m in martial arts / boxing my whole life but never braced/ breathed / acknowledged - the lower abs and expansion of lungs. Do you always breathe in thru your nose and out thru your mouth?? And Is belly pulled in at all times and you never let your belly fall?

    • @imporylem
      @imporylem 2 роки тому

      never pull your belly in. if you succesfully activate your inner core muscles. it just gets toned and tightened just enough. your bracing should come on top of that.

  • @Mike717ful

    Is it possible that my leg muscles ache because of incorect breath? I went to most doctors and they say I have no problem. Yet after short periods of walking or standing my calves heels and glutes hurt and quads etc

    This really works the back muscles!!?

    • @DrJeffreyOGuinSaintLouis
      @DrJeffreyOGuinSaintLouis  3 роки тому

      not necessarily "works them". However, because the diaphragm is a CORE muscle, working it can be beneficial for the CORE as a whole.

      it adds resistance to your inbreath. It's like exercising for the diaphragm.www.amazon.com/Expand-A-Lung-Breathing-Fitness-Exerciser/dp/B00JWTRA5I/ref=sr_1_28?crid=2O20ETJCZYXU8&dchild=1&keywords=breathing+exercise+device&qid=1619303573&sprefix=breati%2Caps%2C208&sr=8-28

    Do you also breath out of nose in these expenses?

    • @DrJeffreyOGuinSaintLouis
      @DrJeffreyOGuinSaintLouis  3 роки тому +1

      The in breath is more important for engaging the diaphragm. You can breathe out through nose or mouth.

    • @DrJeffreyOGuinSaintLouis
      @DrJeffreyOGuinSaintLouis  3 роки тому

      I'm not sure what you mean. You started to hyperventilate afterwards? For how long. Do you have respiratory issues?

    • @gugandakshnamurthy4452
      @gugandakshnamurthy4452 2 роки тому

      Taking just 4 deep breaths at a time will not lead to hyperventilation
