You'll need a vpn Marty. Don't even try the stuff advertised in the west. For china the best vpns are not aimed at privacy but obfuscation of traffic to make it look like regular traffic. Western vpn companies don't do any of that and so they basically don't work. Actually the larger the vpn company, the greater the chance that it'll be blocked. Cat and mouse. The chinese themselves use xray and v2ray. That stuff just works. Been using it for ages myself. 🤘

Is Begode in Shenzhen? Good luck with the cold and the plane ride. Lucky to be leaving from a large city (LA) - that will cut a lot of time out of it. Used to take me > 24 hours from Portland.

Hi Marty, I realize that you beat the crap out of the whole suspension upgrade thing for the Master 2 yrs ago but, 2 years later with all the possible options…replacing arms and all the possible shocks easily available , what would you do now? I just ordered a new v2 Master to tinker with and use along with my T4. I just wanted to try an inexpensive way to compare the next larger wheel. I’m about 6’ 220Lbs and I ride mainly light off road tracks and Bmx stuff lightly. I’m not interested in super rough terrain, big drops and jumps or even a lot of distance. I’m just looking for “retirement guy plush” . I plan on trying it “as is “ first ,however you seemed so impressed at the results of dropping in an oil/ coil stock in your video a couple of years ago. I have no problem modifying the shock mount if necessary but maybe there’s an another shock that you could recommend for a direct fit? There’s been so much talk about this that it has become very convoluted to me. I would be ok with the Hoopie or the other arm upgrade parts as well if it makes sense. Last thing I want is to try and “crack a nut with a sledgehammer” Thanks
The V2 Master should have the better linkages. First, I would wait for your Master and see if the air shock feels nice enough for you. But otherwise, I still think you can't beat the "upgrade" to the coil shock to give you the ultimate plush ride. But note that it won't be best for bigger drops because it'll tend to bottom out. Super comfy on the flats though.
The ultimate upgrade would be to buy the "Vince" CNC linkages along with a high-end fully adjustable air shock. Unfortunately those upgrades could cost you $500+

It’s hard not to get way ahead of yourself when you’re so excited about stuff and waiting to get it. I’ll definitely wait first. I’m just a Retired guy tinkering and having a blast. I actually still love my e-mtb and Onewheels for what they do. I’m glad I can dabble in all of em. Since I’m an old school pedal powered uni rider(fair) ,I ride 98% sitting and decided to learn it that way. I know you get far more leverage standing but I’m using my wheel as a little portable off road pit bike of sorts. I’ve never had any bottom out problems with my T4 so far but , I’m getting a little more aggressive.
Someone suggested a DNR V22 190mm ar spring coil/oil shock would fit without modifying the shock mount. Does that shock make sense to use as you suggested as a simple drop in mod? If so do you have a suggestion for spring weight? Seems to be difficult to get 1300lb and plus and 450lb or so seems common? It’s really amazing that you and others have pioneered so much stuff and are so willing to help us noobs. I really appreciate your indulgence and help. Thanks a bunch!
I checked out your Eewheels resource and found the DS 200 shock and kit for $400ish . Is that the “Vince linkages” you’re referring to? Since I’m bigger guy, I was assuming heavier springs but I agree with you about wanting as plush a ride as possible and it seems those heavy springs will be more for extreme drops and bumps not for general all around comfort. I’ll shut up now.🤐
@@dp8454 I don't know what Ewheels resource you found - I doubt that they sell the kit, but maybe you found something I'm not familiar with. Do a Google search on "euc linkage vince" and you will find what I'm talking about. Vince Ramirez. I personally know him.
For a coil shock it will be difficult to fit a could bigger than ~1000-pounds. And if you were to add a much stiffer coil, than the ride won't be "plush"
