To those saying the mics are bad, those are probably voices from different film clips to use as a reference for scenes.
The first scene is from doctor strange
Two of the songs were from the show Galavant
Yea that’s what they do they use voice clips from things you already know about
This is from doctor strange
@@Aviatato I knew it was familiar
The first one really hit hard
I know right?
I love dr strange
Cuz its from Doctor Strange which is amazing.
literally my life
2nd one too
Love how the first one has the dude modeling a character on the laptop... kinda poking fun at themself i guess
Ok the ones I could figure out were
0:01 Doctor Strange
1:03 Road Trip (2000)
1:27 Hala from Thor: Rag
1:42 Chang from Community
1:56 The Flintstones (1994)
2:11 Time Bandits (1981)
2:25 Dark Angels (TV 2000-2002)
2:54 Galavant
3:40 also Galavant but S2
4:58 Dinner for Shmucks (2010)
5:24 The Birdcage with Robin Williams
5:35 Key and Peele Mattress Shopping
The rest idk but the animation is jaw dropping either way
Thanks
Every shot of that lizard character has been so hilarious for so many years! Every damn time every animator does something hilarious with him :D
He can definitely be some dumb funny villain in a movie.
LOVE IT!!
1:14 I love the little suble movements in her face after she says "its a lot to look up too..." like shes sad about something that we dont know but we Feel. thats good animation.
1:42 really liking the ideas and smoothness of facial animation in this one
same. so brilliant
All lizard scenes
0:49 Evil Speech
1:42 Community Chang Gollum scene
4:57 Dinner For Schmucks
5:24 Birdcage
thank you
What dialogue is the first one from?
I love how the lizard is the star of the show
This lizard character is connecting all the animations into a single universe
LCU: The Lizard Cinematic Universe
Lol, the last one was the best.
Lol Suprise OFG
Lol Bratz OFG
Cutest too
I just really love seeing all the different characters with so much variety and seeing them out of context just adds a little... pizzaz, a little extra interest I think.
3:09 is soooooooo goooooood!!!!
i like how
3:13 she does that with her face, and at 3:14 her pupils get smaller. it shows a lot of emotion.
3:16 its nice how one eyebrow is a little more down than the other
3:17 that lip animation is so satisfying! and at 3:19 she makes a motion like she's blowing
3:20 her eyes get so big. i love it.
and overall i like how she just doesnt care that she's probably gonna spill her glass soon :D lol
Great job Lukasz!
The facial acting in 1:14 is phenomenal! Fantastic work all around
That was like... the coldest wtf introduction to a video ever.
Yeah I was hurt
It's from doctor strange
Not gonna lie
I thought she was gonna hit him with the bat
Same
5:33 "you're not a woman..."
"DUHHHHHH!!!...."
i havent laughed so much since childhood.
I know it's not the purpose or goal of the education, but it really shows how important audio is. Really nice animations, I just wish there was more individuality shown. Would be interesting to have a show reel of the same animators in a few years/months to see how they've developed their own style.
Is it just me, or the "Batman" model looks a lot like Mr. Incredible? Especially considering the similarities between the scene shown here and the scene where Bob Parr was in Syndrome's lair.
Yeah I don't know the name of that character model but he is quite similar to Bob
5:35
This is hilarious oh my god i love this so much-
SOOO WE NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT THE DOG BIT
All the animations with the lizard, especially the first one, are all amazingly over-exaggerated in the right way!
0:0- 0:19 This one is so beautiful and heartbreaking- the way she's patient yet wary with him, how they're talking with one another, it feels like they've had plenty of conversations like this before.
0:24- 0:48 I love this open communication, how she just goes for it at the end, and he leans into it.
3:23-6:10 awww
The last one needs to be a movie. I love the humor hehehehe.
3:24 is my favorite
Same
same
That first one hurt 😢
"because you're a man and i know nothing because i'm a woman"
"your not a woman"
😮
I think it’s from Mrs. Doubtfire
I loved EVERY clip with the lizard-thing character lol
They are looked like from the same movie...
Can’t believe we’re at the point where student animation projects look just as decent as the work of most major studio produced animated flicks nowadays. About a decade ago you could’ve fooled me into thinking these are all Pixar, but then again now they’re already on a completely different level of animated realism lol
These guys definitely improved, holy shit they're definitely getting jobs at Disney now
Are they getting better or blender/maya is getting better?
@@MrWhiteLioness Still have to put the principals into practice. The tools may get more streamlined and more efficent, but if you don't have the basic understanding of animation then it won't look nearly as good as it could be.
@@Killomainia exactly
@@tanmaygoswami7147 true
yes true
technically amazing and hq , but every character seems to have the exact same personality with the heavy overacting and round movement , seems like the tutors are forgetting about characters which move differently -> stiff, gentle, hectic, pressured whatever , these charaxters all move like the 1000s copy of a copy of some disney movie , nice exceptions were the cartoony mad lizard and the skull one .
i agree and it all feels very commercial because of the lack of individuality. it would be nice to see some unique art styles.
The problem is the industry. 3D is a segment of 2D and professional animation in the western world takes from the lessons all the great Disney animators gave. The entire animation industry learned to animate from Disney so thats why all the student work looks like Disney work.
@@Xlore127 Agreed, also it might have to do with that fact they're given the same models/style to use(or at least that's how I think it works) and also I think it'd be fair to say that the directing in all the clips seem the same or very similar(Wide Shot with minimal cuts, maybe that's a requirement that they're given because I've noticed this in all the reels.). Everything seems very Disney/Pixar inspired and none of these reels(I've watched each one from 2016-2020) seem to take inspiration from other genres(like westerns, black & white, old school samurai films, etc). They do look nice though I will say that, I just wish in the next reel the clips show more creativity from the student picks.
Edit: I did like the mad max setting clip by Kseniia
@@xdavier31 It deffo looks like this school is meant to teach you about the complexities of acting in a 3D software. More of it is focused on the character's acting and how it adheres with the audio the students choose, so the assets the students are given are a kind of easy way to help them communicate the personalities behind the characters...something that big industry studios like Pixar/Disney/Dreamworks/Bluesky probably want. I guess you can say that the shots students produce here are good for their chances at getting jobs.
THIS IS FUNNY BECAUSE SOMEOME WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW REALISTIC ONE OF THE ANIMATIONS FROM THE 2018 STUDENT SHOWCASE WAS
I guess people complain when it's realistic but complain when it's Disney like or cartoony it's confusing
1:50 BEN CHANG LETS GOOO
now i realize how cheap illumination is. but doesn't mean these are bad. it's amazing!
5:34 DHO-
that expression of shock and rage is one to behold
Amazing models, characters, settings and especially animations. Great work.
The last one was way too relatable
This lizard cracks me up every time :)
Wow, I fell in love with this ads since I saw them, the animations is really stunning. Wish there were more adds like these about there
I’m assuming the students get a variety of characters to work with and they just animate right?
yea, they probably get voice lines aswell. While it is impressive, people get blinded easily and assume they did everything from scratch.
@@poppi3362 yeah haha I noticed when I realized all shorts use the same models haha 😂
@@poppi3362 yeah in another one i noticed one of the lines was taken from a movie, I assume they demos and movie lines
ua-cam.com/video/RrRuoDs4rPo/v-deo.html someone made a comment on this one showing that some of them were from la la land, a series of unfortunate events and stuf
“You’re no longer in control of me; I control you!” LOL.
3:43
Okay this should be a good movie to watch.
First one was from Doctor Strange....NICE LIP SYNCING 👍 😀
1:08 when you dont prepare for winter in dont starve
thats some quality animation right there!!
this is the best year ever by far what the hell
The first clip is me still trying to learn blender
bro they not using blender for film animations or short animations the using auto desk maya .also disney and other animations school using this programm .if you go on there page you can get a free lizens from there
@@StoniGaming Thats not what he was saying dude. Jesus.
Hard relate, except the "not getting better" part.
@@StoniGaming I wasn't saying that but thanks for the hint! I thought Maya wasn't free
@@Tre_Di maya is free look on yt and i have also a free 3 year licens .
For anyone wondering, the last one is from the Key and Peele skit with the mattress store. All of these are brilliantly animated!
1:54 Loved that scene.
it sounds familar but I can't place where it's from
6 minutes are oveerrr?????
Damnn sooo entertaining to watch😍😍
The lizard ones are my favorites lol
vimeo.com/114718960 I like the lizard in this as well lol
Jeez that lizard is getting crazier, soon he’s gonna rule the other animations
1:56 I have not seen "The Flinstones" Live Action Movie in YEARS. This was when Betty and Bernie adopted Bam Bam.
The Flintstones 1994?
0:23 This needs to be a movie. Not the lines but a 3d animated, maybe comedy, movie on apocalyptic life.
this was my second favorite after the first one
man this is quality work
2:54 This Guy with a King Crown 👑 Definitely Totally Looks Like Mr. Incredible
Second one was so good
0:00 “hey Val… is everything good at home?”
I love how Batman just wants to watch the pope. He's batman
love the lizard
i friggen love that lizard
Damn, your students are talented. Good job!
4:30 JIM
Teresa Cruz earned my respect by chosing a clip from Community (and making a great animation with it). But mainly Community.
The last one was my favorite
I immediately recognized the birdcage line in this 😆❤ all of them are so good
All of these looks amazing. Some of the people in the comments are just stupid
ikr these clips actually makes me jealous
5:36 this is A Good Clip That Perfect
2:42 batman during quarantine
0:49 1:42 these are my favorite
Same! Also the idea of a lizard’s split personality being a different colour is genius!
0:49 Where is this from? I came across these lines when I was recording lines for a Voice Demo. Never learned where it was from.
LOL the last animation I recognized the audio from the key and peele "mattresses" sketch
0:49 Critical Role battle music :-)
Volatile Reaction
Kinda wish that the clips were sorted by student, I wanna see all of their stuff back to back to see what they’re trying and learning in each project!
Were they not?
@@thewanderingassassinlk3136 no, it seems like the clips were randomly laid out because there might be three or so clips for a student placed randomly throughout the video
i like the calendar in the background of the first animation showing a picture from the 2018 showcase
Good eye
i'm so happy these are still being put out!
I love the key and peele skit they used at the end, that was clever
0:14 he didn't even flinch or feel remorse!
All of these are so well done, Good job to the animators that did these
Getting better and better every year!!!
I'm having fun guessing where the original audios come from.
1:27 is Hela from Thor:ragnorak
Really great stuff! The fluid animation, the stylistic characters, lighting and visual fx, the voice acting... all of it..... gorgeous work!
This actually really good
3:03
My vote goes for Tyler Mahn, that's just brilliant, in concept AND animation quality. Love it!
I don't know who makes them, but the lizard make me want to scream more.
I freaking love that first shot lol its so good xD its so intense and emotional while also so funny
every thing really hit hard. congrats, quality is really good.
3:24 no way this made me laugh! 😂 excellent!
How good was that dog one at the end 😆 I watched it twice and laughed both times
The last one is my favorite aaaaa
This is the best reel I’ve seen so far
The last one is HILARIOUS!
Lots of slavic names this year! :3 Guess we should expect some great movies coming from Ukraine-Russia-Poland in the next couple of years :D
No, becasue there move to Europe and USA, to get paid properly 😕
@@MorganFuse These countries are in Europe you Pepega
@@VaMage thanks for letting me laugh man. But I guess they didn't read the comment correctly
@@VaMage Listen man, Slavic countries are not famous for good education (as you can clearly see rofl)
All these amazing 3D animations and You got Disney spitting out unnecessary Live Action movies like Mulan and Lion King
We need a list of the movies from which are the audio records o.o
ahh the first dialogue is from Doctor Strange! loved the animation and the lighting/shaders on these were so next level 😍
The first one its the voice of Dr.Strange movie
3:24 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 I love it!
This is really good. I wish I had money to hire three people.
These animations are really good. I love it.
I love the lizard.
