Happy New Year to all my subscribers and visitors! I am sorry this next video took so long. It was almost ready before Christmas, but then Microsoft pushed the Fall update which broke all my display drivers and necessitated a complete reinstall of Windows (argh!). Then the holidays happened. Hopefully I will get production back to a normal rate now that the holidays are over. Thanks again for your support!
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I will eventually cover all the systems. I work on these solo so progress is often slow. I know that everyone appreciates the quality, but it takes time. Next video should be out within the next week or so.
How do I get the Q400 to display lbs instead of kg? I've used the Majestic CHAN to change the settings and reloaded both FSX and the aircraft itself, but nothing seems to be working.
Hi Robert. Not at home right now so I will have to double check when I get home, but I believe the option is in the Majestic Control Panel utility. Once you switch the setting in there, make sure you hit Apply Settings prior to closing the utility. Then reload the aircraft in FSX. If that doesn't work for you, it might be a bug. I would post in the Majestic forum or submit a ticket to Majestic. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Excellent question. The approved fuels for the Dash 8 Q400 are - Jet A/Jet A1 - Jet B (Or military equivalents) Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) is allowed. As far as biofuels are concerned, they are not on the list of normal fuels. That being said, many operators have made test flights and periodic commercial flights with biofuels. I have not found any evidence that any operator currently uses biofuels for every day operations.
@@CaptNabs , thanks for your reply. It seems, Dash 8-Q400 is common fuel user, thats why good to operate. But, bio fuel conversion is important. Some countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam have palm oil resource, where Dash-8 can get a potential market.
I don't dispute that BioFuels will play a role in the future of aviation. I simply stated what the manufacturer has currently published. Many BioFuel experiments have been undertaken with the Q400 to date, but no one is using it on a regular basis that I could find (yet). I am sure Bombardier will issue supplements allowing certain BioFuels when an operator is ready to request it (and pay for the certification). I just could not find any evidence that anyone has done this, YET.
@@CaptNabs thank you, I understand. I am from Bangladesh but living in Malaysia, where palm oil is cheaper the other oil. Bangladesh ordered 3 dash-8 q400, so, we are looking for alternatives.
Amazing videos bro you’re the best of the best🎉

These are the best system videos for the dash! Do you think of an hydraulic system vid in the future?

well explained.
Good briefing

Is information available for the aux fuel pump model? I am interested in power requirements
No, there is no common information about the model of fuel pump. Sorry. The function of the pump is described, but not its specifications.
@@CaptNabs I didn't think so. Thanks
Are you a real world pilot great information on your videos
Are you going to include other systems like … landing systems… light systems
For now this is on permanent hiatus. I don't have the airplane model anymore. I think I did cover all the major complex systems.
@@CaptNabs okay, thanks anyway
What recommended type of fuel q400 require? is it possible to replace with bio fuel?
