    Thanks a lots ,these are very helpful for quick reviewing of the systems , I'm a professional pilot on q400, looking forward to watching the remaining systems!!!

      I'm glad you find them useful. Please do keep in mind that, while I am aiming to keep them as realistic as possible, they are targeted at users of FSX and Prepar3d. There may be a few simplifications where the detail would never be seen by the simmer at all. Be sure to review your company manuals as well.

      Capt Nabs Have you tried the FSFX Q400 immersion?

    • @CaptNabs
      @CaptNabs  6 років тому +1

      I have not. It seems to me that FSFX is mainly external eye candy. I appreciate the effects, and I do notice they are missing from external views.
      However, I personally spend 90-95% of my time in the flight deck. I treat flying the sim much like a real pilot, so I end up almost never enjoying the external views. Thus FSFX Immersion packages would be wasted on me.
      I'm sure it's a good package for many who spend more time looking at external views.

    Thankyou Sir for putting in your efforts for such a wonderful explanation. Please make your time for Navigation, Communication and Autopilot chapters.

      I absolutely will. I hate to say it but they will probably be last. I am trying to get through the internal systems first and finish with the avionics, because the avionics on this aircraft are quite complex.

    I think that ECS/ECU stand for Environmental Control System/Environmental Control Unit respectively.
    Other than that, great video. Keep up the good work.. :)

      You know, I looked it up and you are correct. Not going to redo the video at this time, but thanks for the correction.

      Capt Nabs my book says Electronic Control Unit. I think you had it right.

    Hey captain...what is the purpose of reservoir for doors...i mean there could be a direct supply for it.or is there some other logic behind this?

    • @CaptNabs
      @CaptNabs  6 років тому

      I've always wondered about that a bit, and no one could give me a very certain answer. I think it is one of 2 possibilities:
      1) To ensure the doors remain sealed, even if bleed air is lost during flight (don't want the airplane depressurizing too quickly).
      2) Just to help seal the doors properly on the ground to keep rain, snow, dust out when the airplane is parked (overnight for example).
      I think reason 2 is more likely. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that. No one seems to have a good answer for that...

      @@CaptNabs thank you anyway, as 2nd possibility didnt come to my mind😇.keep educating.👍🏽

    Good stuff! Can we expect some more stuff like flight instruments, fire protection etc.?

    • @CaptNabs
      @CaptNabs  6 років тому +1

      Absolutely. The goal is to complete a video for every system on the Q400. Eventually.
      These videos take 1-2 months to complete in my spare time as they involve a lot of research, planning, custom diagrams and animations as well as audio recordings to achieve the level of quality I want.
      So please be patient. And subscribe to be notified when new videos are published. Thanks!

    I don ' t understand why why you don ' t have course about flight controls

    • @CaptNabs
      @CaptNabs  4 роки тому +1

      The reason is "not yet". Each video takes a few months of spare time to research, illustrate, and assemble. I have simply not reached flight controls yet.

      I am very happy you find many of my videos so useful. However, these are only a hobby within my hobby. I set aside whatever time I can to finish them, but it is not a lot. I will most likely not have another systems video ready this month. You'll have to hit the booka to review any systems I haven't covered yet. As I must also spend some time in the books again, as I will also hopefully be returning to the skies next month, I won't have much more time for systems videos this month.
      Sorry. Good luck. See you in the skies.

    RTOP 83% Bleeds Min takeoffs all day these days, atleast. Maybe it's newer kits; or lighter regulations :) Happy Flying

      @@OneBrightSun Bleeds on vs off is just a question of engine wear/efficiency vs passenger comfort. Each airline decides what they value.
