  • Faisal Salah, who many of you would have first come across during his days as a budding nasheed artist and as a regular fixture at Muslim events, saw his mental health deteriorate as the pressure from the Muslim Community piled on.
In this exclusive interview, he opens up about addiction, travelling to Somalia to find himself again, and his journey back to God.

“Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zina, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhari ta’liqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsul by al-Tabarani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Sahihah by al-Albani, 91)
The prophet ﷺ said "permit" as in it haram but the people will allow such actions. Also musical instruments are mentioned alongside actions that are known 100% to be haram. If it wasn't haram, why would it be mentioned?

SubhannAllah I had this Mans Nashaheeds Stuck in my head for over a decade same with my whole family i swear and we from america subhanAllah i always used to wonder what happened to this brother i forgot his whole name took me 3 hours to find it today alx i did i really Used to wonder what happened to the Ahki…. And sad to say a thing called Life happened… we all have shortcomings we all have ups and downs and to think the Righteous of the Righteous falls down sometimes were all Human brev just like he said he was looked at more of a upcoming Scholar type person thats why he had to always Present himself in the best way were all human we all have downsides its good to see the brother trying to get his mind right going back to the motherland seeking his foot in the roots taking a big reset we all need that at times bruv and Nobodys Perfect Ahki dont feel ashamed discouraged of your Shortcomings as long as you turn to Allah(SWT) beg for repentance and his Guidance in shaa Allah you shall be guided… and one thing i learned thru out this thing called life once your trying to change it usually Never Happens untill a calamity hits you…. Sad to say Bad Outcomes or tragic incidents is the #1 Factor people do a full 360 and change they’re life around and sometimes we all might just need that Thats why we always gotta say Alxamdulilah for the good and the Bad but im glad to see the Brother Getting his life back on track and on the right path alxamdulilah dont ever feel Ashamed brother its all Apart of the Journey and the Path we must Strive on to become a Better Man Allah Azzawajaal is the Best of Planners we could plan for example for 100$ and Allah (SWT) has 1 Million planned for you Allah has your plan x100 for you SubhanAllah The Best of Planners the Most Merciful Al Kareem May Allah Guide us all and keep us steadfeast onto the right Path brother and I Hope you are doing well and better and just like Faisal used to say “And i Hope that one day In shaa Allah one day under Islam well Unite La Ilahaa IlaalAllah Muhammadan RasoolulAlah” May Allah grant u Jannah brother and all of us and keepp us steadfast Allahuma Ameen

But his got a heart and is an emotional person, his emotions get him carried away which puts him on edge of being in the wrong path. No one is perfect but some of his beliefs about Islam which he wants to believe simply because it’s the easier way out. May Allah strengthen our imaan and grant us all jannah.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

The hadith is clear and the majority fo scholars have agreed that music is haram, and only recent scholars have deviated from that point of view. Nonetheless, as muslims, we are advised by our nabi ﷺ to the safest opinion. If music is haram and one decides to deny that opinion despite being inclined by it, you gon have a lot of sins on Yawmul Qiyama if you don’t repent. how do you repent? Have the sincere intention to stop, Ask Allah to forgive you for this sin particularily, don’t do it again.
