My Jamaica mom use to do this ( God rest her soul) way back in the days she would 'parch" it in what we call dutchpot and then "beat" / pound it in what we call a "marta" (something like that but much bigger make out of wood round in shape with a flat bottom) with the stick we called "marta stick" bottle it to make coffee tea...the best coffee ever
Our friends from Ethiopia made us two of the best cups of coffee I've ever had it took her like 2 hours to make so worth the wait, made us lamb curry stew and home made ingera so delicious, I went to heaven that day beautiful people and wonderful culture 😋 ❤
