Those are some nice crappies. I use a 4-weight fly rod and Cortland Deny Rickards clear camo fly line. it has a very slow sink rate. like 2 inches per second. so in 20 ft of water it will take a bout 2 minutes to drag my fly down there. so, i cast out a way ahead of them and then once it hits about the 15-foot mark i start my slow retrieve. strip 4 - 6 inches, then pause for 4 seconds and repeat. it will swim my fly right through the middle of them imitating an injured insect. it's almost a guaranteed fit every time. and on a 4-weight fly rod, a 1-2 lb crappie, feels like a 10 lb bucketmouth. so its fun for the smaller lakes where i live.
Where are you fishing up your way? I'm in Starkville. We gotta set up a trip together. I got a unreal spot. I uploaded a video(my first) check it out @ttg outdoors.

That does sounds fun…I really enjoy micro fishing, but it’s great individuals like you that share new and creative ways to fish….Thanks for sharing!
